Personal DescriptionI am a natural listener but can be awfully talkative. I'm a quiet person but can display the most incredible energy. I'm forever a student but can teach many things. My eyes see what many don't notice but I often miss the obvious. I'm deeply logic but love to follow my instincts. I'm quite smart but can be clueless about simple things. I don't believe in any god but have faith in things nothing explains. I love to act like a child but always care about the consequences. I don't like boxes. I don't fit any and I don't think anyone does. Everyone has his story.
I'm 34 but feel like it means nothing. I met people 10 years older who've been through a lot more than me, people 10 years older who'd done close to nothing with their life and don't intend to do more... Life is a journey. Every new experience you have, every thing you learn, every person you meet is an occasion to grow. You get old the day you think you don't have anything more to learn. I feel damn alive and young :)
Oh, and I'm totally addicted to chocolate... That sounds like an important fact about me :)How I Participate in CS2The crash has been an incredible experience, a great feeling as we fought to keep a dream, our dream, alive and tried to help the people to find hosts in Paris. It really made me realize how CS became a major part of my life, how important this project was for me.
Since, I've been traveling from couches to couches, collectives to collectives, trying to discover and learn about the people and their life all over the world, and to promote the project and the ideas it embodies : tolerance, knowledge, friendship.
Now nomadic amabassador, I travel and promote CS and try to meet as many people and cultures as possible and continue to help making this world a smaller, nicer, better one, a couch at a time :)CouchSurfing ExperienceHall of Fame - hosting experiences :

I'm infinitly curious and would like to experience everything at least once, go to every place, and meet everyone who can tell me his stories or share his knowledge or ideas.
I've never been good at focusing deep on one and only thing, I'm too curious about everything, so I don't have any "expertise", but there are lots of things I've beeen into and I'm knowledgeable about and enjoy doing : Computers, photography, movies, paragliding, Scuba diving, roller skating, music, reading, writing, games (RPG, boards, chess, cards, ...), and wolves :)PhilosophyLife is a miracle. I don't understand the how, or the why. But we supposedly got something like 650.000 hours in this world. That's not much, and it can stop at any moment. So enjoy every second of it. Look at the bright side, cherish the good moments, the ones you love ! Bad times, we all have some, but they make us grow. Hey, no one said life was an easy journey, but it's a worthy one ;)
So learn, discover peoples and places, open your mind and your heart, be true to yourself, and don't listen your fears ! Dare ! Love ! Live ! And smile everyday 'cause a day without a smile is just lost !!!
You and I can't probably change the world, but we can try to make it just a little better everyday. As Gandhi said : "Be the change you want to see in the world". That's sound like a good beginning :)Music, Movies, BooksNeil Gaiman stays my favourite writer... imagination, dream, and magic at the corner of the street or behind a door. But I read quite a lot of books, many styles or ambiance, and I also think comics can sometimes be as good as books. Other favourite authors would be Dan Simmons, Anna Galvada, Paolo Coehlo, Isaac Asimov, JRR Martin and Alan Moore among many... Recently discover Bill Bryson and loved it. Now into Japanese stuff again
Music, almost everything as long as it's not too noisy. I have nothing against electro, but I dance on it, I don't listen to it in my living room :). These days, I enjoy Jack Johnson, Shivaree, Robbie Williams, Keane, and Leonard Cohen. Everlasting love for Sting, Dire Straits, Morcheeba and Alain Souchon (French one) and Edith Piaf will always be the undying voice of my beloved Paris. Sometimes, I'm in the mood for Mozart or Beethoven.
I'm a movie addict, and like so many of them I just can't list. My favourite director ever is Tim Burton, but I'm a fan of Guy Ritchie, David Fincher, Luc Besson (as director, not producer), Quentin Tarantino, Kenneth Branagh... Last great movies were "In Bruges", "How to Rob a Bank" and "Cashback". I also enjoy lots of TV series. My favorite ever are "Profit", "Band of Brothers", "Dead like me" and Firefly and I enjoyed lately "Rome/Empire".Types of People I enjoyI value respect, tolerance and curiosity above anything else. If you do the same, whatever who you are, what you do, look likes, how and where you live, you are family :)
I had the deepest admiration for the people who radiates energy, joy, faith and happiness with such force than it fills you.Teach, Learn, ShareI am an eternal student. I'm curious about almost everything, so I have tiny bits of knowledge about many things, but my ignorance is without limits. So I'll gladly share my few bits, and learn yours even more gladly !!! These days, I'm learning Scuba diving, photography, juggling and first aid... And you ?One Amazing Thing I've Seen or DoneAfter a long dull period and many arguable choices, being able at last to dare hope, challenge my fears and rebuild my life on new basis. Resign my job and leave everything behind to go on a long journey both around the world and inside.
Meeting the most amazing people and having the most incredible luck to call some my friends. Being a better person just knowing them.
Being like a bird paragliding, scuba diving on the amazing Coral reef among sharks, crawling in the tunnels of the amazing Potosi mines with fear twisting my guts, learning Tai Chi in a monastery in China, traveling, traveling, and traveling again.
Being totally, madly, deeply in love, sharing little or big things with her and knowing it as the most beautiful gift.Opinion on the CouchSurfing.com ProjectCS is already making this world a better one, and there are in this community the most incredible human beings I ever met and a wonderful energy !

From Zikri Mansor Baling, Malaysia Oct 24 Positive Bruno is a wonderful person.
He is a very kind, simple and generous person. I am happy to have met him and appreciate how willing he was to share his stories and experiences with me.
From Jarod Loo Singapore, Singapore Sep 24 Positive Bruno lambasted french politics with me over MSG filled chinese food :D
From Antoine Rolland Lille, France Mar 17 Positive Firstly I met Bruno during the Sinterklaas meeting in Rotterdam and the week after in Lyon for the festival of light 2007 during which we took time to talk each other. He is nice and he's a CS passionned. He explained to me many things from the CS project and he is very interesting. So I hope to see you soon, you are welcomed to Lille !
From caroline Leuwers Cappelle-la-Grande, France Jan 20 Positive I met Bruno at the Sinterklaas meeting. He was hosted by Frederiecke like us. He's a very sympathetic guy who's got a lot of travel stories to tell... He also knows how to talk to women...
From LE VENT Lyon, France Jan 2 Positive Heh, Brouno, my chocoholic mate!! ;) Bruno is a soul of the company - like talking and always have something to say! I apprecaite a lot this guy and hope to meet him soon again in inexpected place as we always do! :p
From EDIAM Paris, France Dec 11, 2007 Positive It's cool to meet fellow Parisians in another city, and more when they are as cool as Bruno. I really enjoyed this week-end and promise we'll share a bunch of meetings on *our* city of Lights :)
From Nanouk van der Elst Rotterdam, Netherlands Dec 10, 2007 Positive Bruno stayed with my friend Freetje in her new house together with some other Frencies, so i bumped into him a lot during this weekend. And i did not mind cause he seems to be a great guy!
Welcome back anytime!
From Frederieke Kolkman Rotterdam, Netherlands Dec 9, 2007 Positive Bruno is a early bird like me so he did shopping for breakfast with me. A very polite person who is fun to be with and has humor. maybe I see him in Paris during New Year.
From Esteban Montoya Lyon, France Dec 9, 2007 Positive As i spoke to Bruno more than four minutes, i can maybe ask him to become a couchsurfin' friend, isn't it ? Steff told me he's a nice guy, and i agree with it since friday's meeting !
From Soul Vibration Lille, France Dec 7, 2007 Positive i met bruno in meeting in paris, rotterdam and lyon for pleasure, he is a very nice guy , i hope travel in futur again with bruno to pass good moments in next place.
for laugh and another activity .
From Benjamin Levine Toulouse, France Dec 5, 2007 Positive Damn that guy is tough! He has some really good advice on sleeping in the most improbable positions but he does have his limits : he didn't go to sleep in SuperYami's room !
Right now, I am slowly changing my lifestyle from a unbelievable comfort into a simple adaptable one. Bruno is sure a great counselor in that quest.
From SUPERYAMI Chelles, France Sep 12, 2007 Positive Bruno is the traveller you all dream to become.. the kind of person i admire but promiss i wont open your fanclub yet !! i am more than happy to have met such a kind of person !! bruno will always be the simple guy that fits peacefully and quietly in any environment. i like the zen attitude he gained from its already big tour and i am sure he will be glad to get more relaxations lessons soon if he goes back to china.. in the meantime, had an excellent time between its place and an amazing choco latte in paris chinatown..
From Sierra Melcher Shanghai, China Sep 9, 2007 Negative I am sorry to say that there was a significant misunderstanding that occurred while he was at my place and in the end I know that we both felt awkward. I know that I was annoyed and felt that he more than overstayed his welcome and did not leave when I asked him to. It made me uncomfortable.
From Arno K Toulouse, France Aug 20, 2007 Positive we shared really good time together during this trip. Bruno is a very willing guy, with this piece of craziness that i like so much. travelling with two other people is not simple everytime (especially with me!!) but I guess we manage it well, and it was a pleasure. hope to see you here in Toulouse!
From SADDHU_HOOF Müllheim, Germany Aug 3, 2007 Positive Bruno is a very peaceful globe trotter, actually he is a good representative of the "zen attitude". He has many interesting stories to tell about his numerous trips around the world. Actually he is a person I would like to travel with in the future. Hope to meet him soon again or host him in my little town who knows. Good luck for your next trips.
From Daniel De Vidi Treviso, Italy Jul 31, 2007 Positive During the frenetic days at the Collective was impossible to get in touch with every one and unluckily with Bruno I had few times to go deep inside his personality. By the way I remember great evenings with easy talking in the kitchen, where he prepared those peppers (that I love) and kindly offered to every one the Iceland's "liquor from Hell" (Brennevin! :)). Not less, he did great photos, excellent! Don't worry man, we'll have our time in Paris! Take care! Update: then we met again in Paris right before leaving for his trip around the world and at the paella 2007 event right after his landing back in Europe. He's cheerfully outgoing and now with many stories to share from our big little world!
From Funky Greggy Lyon, France Jul 30, 2007 Positive Met Bruno in Paris, having some parties with him, met him last week end in switzerland for the official Paella Party.
I didn't reconize him for the first time. 10 Month of Backpacking chane you a lot in the good way.
If you succeed to stay in the same country more than one month, we will probably see us again soon :)
From Rafael Nussbaum Bern, Switzerland Jul 30, 2007 Positive He's a cool guy, always again chatting with him was such a pleasant experience. Really enjoyed getting to know so good-humoured people as you
From Gionata Nencini Auckland, New Zealand Jul 22, 2007 Positive Bruno has been the first one to introduce me to the core side of the community. To me, before that, CS was only a great system to travel while making friends araound the world.
Now is something different i really will to be part of.
He told me about the Collective and he listened to my stories, answering my question with a real flexibility and interest.
I got the feeling he is a really considerate person and also helpful about what is supposed to be done.
It's a person of facts, not only words. A person who like being helpful rather than sitting there beside the scene.
I'm really happy to had the chance to meet him and, even if it's just been for few hours, i don't feel unconfortable by considering him a friend.
An embrace.
gionata
From Joe Edelman Northampton, United States Jul 16, 2007 Positive When Bruno arrived on the scene, that's when the collective started to really work again. The guy is straightforward, friendly, confident, and knows how to get things done. He's super-respectful, thorough, and creative. An invaluable addition to any team, and a satisfying person to spend time with. I hope I am lucky enough to have the opportunity again.
From Kei Toyama Krakow, Poland Jul 15, 2007 Positive I hosted Bruno for his first 3 days in Japan, but didn't have time to hang out with him. It was nice that I could see him again in Tokyo after his trip around Japan. What he's experienced is really cool, he is a polite and nice guy. Hope to see him and his cool mates in Paris.
From KENJ Fairfield, United States Jun 25, 2007 Positive I enjoyed exploring Kunming with Bruno as he showed me all the sites I had been missing. Then we continued thejourney onward to Dali. Rainbow bakery, Dragonfly Garden, and good food. Thanks for the company Bruno and enjoy the rest of your travels!
From QUICHE POIREAU Brighton, United Kingdom Jun 2, 2007 Positive the kind of guy that i relaly enjoyed meeting at the collective.
The "cool" dude (NDT:La force tranquille).
a fellow french traveler, the kind of those i wish i could have met more often, that would might make wy way back to paris a little easier knowing i ll surounded by person like him.
Yup, definitly a nice guy to meet, again and again; you ll have a good time
From Gloria Kim Catania, Italy Jun 2, 2007 Positive he's such a wonderful person! very easy going and make ppl laugh, smile:) has attitude toward life as well. for sure lets see somewhere soon again WOLF!:)
From Eric Wootton Prescott, United States Jun 1, 2007 Positive Bruno is a great guy. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to get to know each other. Hopefully we will run into each other at future collectives.
From FLURF Wollongong, Australia May 25, 2007 Positive His laugh often caused even more laughter, His generosity made me smile, and his endless chatter made many hours of driving enjoyable. We even found a wallab..um, a Roo in the wild :) I am yet to see the drinking feats he claims, so I will have to track him down again. It'll be great fun
From Casey Lary San Francisco, United States May 21, 2007 Positive For the one night that Bruno stayed with me in little Kabe, I thoroughly enjoyed his company, willingness to fix my computer, tips on photography, and inspiration to travel the globe. A BIG misunderstanding the next day, but I sincerely appreciated his communication after he left to set things straight which I know most people would not even bother to do- arigatou and good luck on your job in Hokkaido.
From KICOCO Tokyo, Japan May 21, 2007 Positive I emailed him first because I found him quite intresting guy. We went drinking on his last night in Tokyo. He was more hilarioust than I expected. He is so open, someone easy to talk to. I felt his passion, energy. Although it was short time, but I really had a goodtime thanks to him.
From travelista Geldrop, Netherlands May 19, 2007 Positive There are several things that I liked about Bruno during our work in Eisenstadt. First, he seems the person who really cares about the idea of CS - helping each other and having fun - not about having an "important place" in the comunity. Second - he's very patient, tolerant and thoughtful in the discussions. The third - he's a good cooker who enjoys others enjoying his cousine :). From MISSMADO Montreal, Canada Apr 13, 2007 Positive bruno, how could i have not left you a reference? i first met bruno when we shared couchsurfers, then in a bar, then in another bar, then, i think in a few more bars, then at his house, then again and again, and now he's gone, satisfying his "wanderlust" and i never realized how much different life would be without him until he left. bruno is a vital part of any community, wherever he should be, bruno is, as the irish would say "the salt of the earth", i'm not irish, but there is really no better way to describe him. Please, fellow couchsurfers, take care of this very, very special person.
It has now been months and months and months..... and i worry if i will ever see him again, Bruno, don't you know how much we miss you?????

From Katja Lafoscade Saint-Maur-des-Fosses, France Apr 3, 2007 Positive One of the funkiest and nicest person i ever met, he has an admirable sense of tolerance and brillant sense of humour. What i like above all is his capacity to narrate stories, absolutely fascinating, i could listen to him for hours (si,si), some of you may have already ave had thi deligtfule experience. I could go on and on in compliments, but as he's already got this tendency to loose ground since he started paragliding, I'll stop there and recommend you to meet him asap if he crosses your road. He's an experience to himself ;)

Bruno...the OTHER french dude who I could understand very clearly :D He's always in his corner with his laptop and i'm always fleeting around in mine..till i went into THE ROOM.
