Personal DescriptionSecretly, I have a blog. people.tribe.net/d-dogHow I Participate in CS2CS2 rocks. It's my life partner. Right now I'm not bringing much to the relationship, because I'm moving houses. Moving is not fun, just so you know.CouchSurfing ExperienceI don't know what to type in this little box. Poetry, no doubt:
Australia, yacht and hob-nobbing with a small cavalry of lawyers, a bioengineer and a chemist for a major petroleum company.
If I were a character in a movie, I wouldn't
do these things.
Which is why CS rocks my face off.
In New Zealand I surfed a cop's couch, and a bunch of students, dressed like a Highlander and had newspaper-sword-fights with the Imperial Russian Army in the park. I chased
sunsets and drank box wine on the beach with Collective folk
and ate baby wasps on ice cream.
Bravado. As the Irish would say, it was
good crack.InterestsCo-ops, vegetarian food, living with the earth, backpacking, philosophy, DIY, zen buddhism, drunken zen buddhists, non-hierarchical everything, strong coffee and new thingsPhilosophyIf my personal philosophy fit in this little box, it would be: Live because you will die; dismantle violence, create joy.Music, Movies, BooksI just read White Noise (don dillilo) and it's awesome. I dig the Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy "trilogy", lately some Virginia Woolf and Neitzsche. Can't make up my mind about him; think it's a good thing.Types of People I enjoyI like people. I like people who don't agree with me; I like people who do agree with me; I like people who are bigger than they are and make the room bright; I like people who whisper things over tea cups that make you wonder.Teach, Learn, ShareI can cook and I love cooking. I facilitated consensus meetings nearly weekly for a couple years. I have a steady camera hand and some basic editing/filming. I can train dogs (unless they're adamantly feral). I screenprint. I'll be learning to sail shortly and would love to learn more. One Amazing Thing I've Seen or DoneI hiked the Kalalau trail in Hawaii. I almost died at one point. I could feel my eyes dialating. My life flashed before my eyes and I thought, "Who knew you could feel your eyes dialating?" Opinion on the CouchSurfing.com ProjectI think all of industrial capitalism culminates in the internet, and now that we have the capacity to create human projects like couchsurfing.com, we can abandon the remnants of industrial capitalism and get on with it. From Alec Resnick Cambridge, United States Aug 19 Positive Dinae is amazing. She's ridiculously enthusiastic and a great magnet for fun. Even if whatever you're going to do with her sounds boring, it won't be.
From Brad Rigby Ashland, United States Aug 13 Positive Digs is one of the kindest, most interesting, and generally good people I've been lucky enough to know. She's one of my closest friends, and well, she's pretty great. I can't think of single day spent that wasn't full of laughter and good conversation.

A perfect host and a person of great goodly excellence.

I look forward to running into her somewhere and working with her on CS :)
From David Hoey&Pearl O'Rourke Dublin, Ireland (Republic of) Apr 25, 2007 Positive This lady is ace. She gives some of the best conversation ever and is also a brilliant laugh. I felt like I really clicked with this girl and I miss her more than New Zealand itself. If I meet her again it would be better than frolicking through meadows of chocolate streams and ice cream trees. Way better. She also makes the best Zen eggs i've ever tasted and is excellent company for a bike ride! I miss you Digs!!!
From Nick Perri Valmiera, Latvia Apr 3, 2007 Positive She came, we chilled, talked, saw some beautiful places, had some challenging games of chess (she kicked my ass mostly), all in all had a real relaxing time for her last days in NZ. It was a pleasure!

From KEITHWANDERS Atlanta, United States Mar 25, 2007 Positive Only one word could describe Digs - SUPER! I could give you a long retelling of our adventures - like the time we watched nerd porn in a parking lot then slept in the car so we could sing with dolphins - but all you really need to know is that I was so sad to see her go. Monkeys.
From Diane Emerson North Shore, New Zealand Mar 20, 2007 Positive Digs' skills with managing consensus meetings was instrumental in pulling the Nelson Collective together in early February.
