Stan was of course da man and met us in Amsterdam. He was on the go go go and i think we bored him a bit!! thats ok though he was nice guy to us and showed us the cannabis cup dutch style. Thanks stan da man!

Stan is in Fast Forward. I had a hard time to catch him in the street. Man, you are fast! We had a few joints together and with that german guy , chatted a little and went for a walk around A'dam. It was a nice day. And the only danger with Stan is that he will get you too high smoking, so be careful! ;)

This guy is truly a local celebrity, all the coffee shops know this guy, and he keeps a pretty fast pace so you can see a lot of stuff. I recommend Stan, if you want to find the best weed in the dam!

Don´t go there. This guy is not just crazy.He is insane.He does have serious massive problems and I wouldn´t recommand going there on your own,especially being femal as he will scare the shit out of you ,if you don´t buy him weed.He abuses this programme to satisfy his drug addiction.This dude didn´t get what couchsurfing is about which is getting to know other cultures and doing sth. decent without earning any money from it.You are better off booking a hostel or looking for other couchsurfers.

it is hard to explain it all,he has multiple personality disorder.

he is a really funny kid who LOVEs to smoke. and can roll a great spliff. If you want to smoke a lot or need a place or both he is the man. His place is very clean and i had a nice bed to sleep on. He even came down to the train station to help me get to his place. I would definitely, chill with him again.

Whatever you do, do not stay with Stan. He's a serious problem. He seemed alright at first, when we first got there...a little anal about everything and gave us no space. But then the next morning when we didnt want to smoke anymore, he started having a random fit...talking to himself, hitting himself...screaming. Needless to say we ran out of there, didnt even have time to pack our stuff. For your own safety especially for women travelers dont stay with Stan the Man,

Very TERRIFYING experience. Everything started out well with Stan. He was very hospitable for the first night, we shared food, weed, stories etc. Then the next morning came and he was a completely different person, he had some sort of bi-polar personality shift for no explicable reason, he turned violent and started slamming his foot down, then screaming in agony, kicking all the furniture, punching the walls and then rubbing his head and screaming violently. We started trying to talk to him to figure out what was wrong, he started screaming violently at us to fuck off. We were scared shitless. So we grabbed out shit and ran out of there after waking up just a few minutes before. Honestly, he has a major problem and needs serious help. I would NOT recommend staying with him, it was a terrifying experience. Please do not put yourself in this situation, he is way too unstable. Please do NOT risk this, it's just not worth your safety.

Stan is a crazy smoker, he knows his shit and is quite expiranced when it comes to weed. If you're not a smoker you probably won't get along with him.

Stan is a dynamic smoking machine that welcomes all the people that need a place to stay in Amsterdam and that are willing to smoke a lot. Keep the spirit but don't smoke so much! Otherwise you'll never enjoy the gift of life.

Stan likes to get stoned, I like to get stoned so it worked nicely. Be prepared to smoke it up, he knows where some good coffee shops are and what's good. Super nice, energetic guy.

Do NOT stay with Stan da man. He's completely crazy and not in a good way. His place is incredibly small and you'll be sleeping on the dirty floor, although we didn't stay with him long enough for that pleasure. After smoking a bunch of weed we got him on the morning we arrived, he had some sort of anxiety attack and became violent... punching walls, slamming doors, throwing our bags at us and kicking us out. It was a horrible and frightening experience that we wouldn't wish upon anyone else.

Stan was a great host, he was really fun and generous. We hang out in the city the first night and he gave us a tour of the coffee shops. woo hoo!!!!

Stan is pure character, loves to smoke and talk and smoke some more. His place isn't near the city center so realize that it will be a bit of a schlep, though Amsterdam nord does have it's own interesting qualities...

Stan Da Man. I stayed with Stan a few days, he was a wonderful host and fun guy to hang out with. He took me to a hardcore electronic music party. It was really loud but totally sweet!!!! Stay with Stan if you come here, he'll show you a good time in Amsterdam.

This guy is Wild, ect. ect. ect. Stan was extremely welcoming and friendly. Loves listening to that crazy hardcore shit which is funny cause you wouldn't think such a stoner could listen to music like that but hey! He let us know,after we had eaten half already, that we had been dining on horse and pork meat haha. Stan has so much energy it's ridiculous! He hates museums b/c he thinks art is overrated. If you smoke too much weed it's kinda hard to understand him but just laugh and go with it. You're the man Stan from Amsterdam!

Stans a good honest bloke. I stayed with George there for a night. His place is quite far from the city but easy to get to on a tram. Visit the bar downstairs, its quite a find! Remember to bring some weed!!

Overall a good night. Its true he does love his weed and it seems his payment for us being there is to rape our stash. The bar downstairs is excellent and we drank till 5 ibn the morning but Stan didnt participate. He prefers smoking! A clean, place on the outskirts of town.. about 30 minutes from central on a bus. It means youve got to get the last bus which isnt good. Generally a friendly fellow!

Stan seemed quite cool when we went to visit him, but like he says the deal is that you bring him some weed and he gives you a roof over your head for the night. Nothing more. In my case this meant no shower, little converstaion, no matress and the option to sleep in my car or cramped on the floor with two other people. I chose the car.

MEGA host in Amsterdam!!! Stan Da Man is one funny character. Just be warned that it is no joke when he and everyone who has left references says he loves to smoke. We spent the evening chilling, smoking and watching the Simpsons. He seems happy to host pretty much anyone as long as you bring him some weed. So if you are thinking of hitting Stan up, just make sure you get your sightseeing done beforehand, coz this surfing experience is all about chilling...

Crashed HAAAAARRRRD!!! We stayed with Stan after a day of tripping mushrooms. It was excellent having a safe place to chill. Didn't get to smoke too much, and he had to leave early in the morning, which was a bummer. Still, thanks for helpin' us out! We didn't go to sleep at all the next night, sorry we didn't come back!

last minute savior. my friend and i were stuck in cold amsterdam and luckily enough he accepted to welcome us at 11pm, when we got to his small flat there were aleady 5 couchsurfers.great time around jokes and loads of weed.awesome fellow, but dont go if you re not expecting to have fun and get HIIIIIIIIIIGH

Stan Da Man... a really great host and if you need anything he is the man. Stan hosted us for 1 night and was really welcoming, sharing, friendly and understanding, but be prepared for the Xtra portion of energy. Sometimes you're could go thinking "What a freak", but he is a really great guy inside

hmmm a little..or i should say a LOT WEIRD!! hmm I truly believe Stan is harmless but it was really weird. He was very hyper, and blurted random things out about everything and anything. WE really appreciated a place to stay even though we slept in the smallest one bedroom room, on a dirty mattress. We felt very uncomfortable in this situation and we were relieved to stay some where else the following night. In all fairness to this guy he was slightly more normal the next morning(if that counts for anything)ommiting the fact he basically kicked us out!! Anyways if u are desperate its a safe place!

A bt scary... Stan has taken a few too many drugs in his lifetime in my opinion! It was really nice of him to let me stay, but his mood swings were extreme to the point of making me feel quite uncomfortable. Might be a good idea to think twice before staying with him, especially if you're female travelling alone.

Spectacular! I visited Stan with 3 friends last February. He was very accomodating. We smoked some hash with him and then took a nap for a few hours since we hadn't slept the night before. He showed us Rats On Cocaine, an internet cartoon, and cracked us up. If you want the Amsterdam experience, go visit Stan. The room isn't very big, but Stan's character is.
