Trip is one of those people that you get a good vibe from instantly, but it still takes you a while to figure out what they are all about. Fellow bathrobe-wearer (one day the whole world will be wearing them, mwhuahahaha!), I respect his well thought-through comments in almost any situation and just loved living and working with him for the amazing summer in Alaska!

Matthew visited mutual friends over a weekend in the Hudson River valley of New York. He was described by our joint host couple as a "marvelous" guest. His presentation at a meeting was heart-felt, warm, articulate, and communicated greatness of spirit and a good faith that impressed us all as charismatic and completely trustful and honest.

I had a great time with Triple! The CS ambassador could not be a better diplomat. We went on some great adventures and he continued to be nice to me even when I gave him half a dozen reasons to freak out (O.K. maybe more than a half-dozen). Great guy, heart of gold, highly recommended.

Quite the unique character. Fit in really well with my friends here and...well...he runs the joint here :-)

I was touched by TTT's keen and sincere focus on life. Even a short conversation with this guy will remind you of our world's depth and goodness.

Matt popped into Hilo with another surfer while vacationing after the Alaska Collective and lo and behold...we had an empty bed! He gives time and energy galore to Couchsurfing so it was fun to be able to give something back [like a comfy bed for the night]. This polite and thoughtful surfer is welcome back any time.

Trip (or MR T as I sometimes call him)is a polite, patient, and mellow guy. He's pretty quiet but if you're around at the right moment he'll say something totally out of the blue and totally hilarious. I'm still laughing about his comment on pulled pork sandwiches. If you have the chance to host/surf Trip you absolutely must do it, you will be glad you did.

So glad to meet up with Triple again. We met in SF and he helped me scramble my way through the airport. We've had a great time on the Big Island and hopefully get to chill on a beach on Kauai.

Matthew and his friend Sidney came and stayed at the hostel I've been working at. They both seemed like fun guys, we had some great talks and they even came out to the bar with the whole crowd of us and had a great time!

An amazing guy with so many great qualities and a nice fashion sense. If you get the chance to meet him you definitely shouldn't pass it up! Hope to see you soon!

I got to know Mat in a long online period of common work for the CS where I appreciated a lot his pespectives and skills. Then when we eventually spend time at Alaska Collective I got the pleasure to enjoy his fun side. Looking forwards for many more of all that to come!

He's super nice guy and yepp easy going.We went out couple of time and everytime i met him he's always have a cute unique smile on his face...love it Trip;p

Matthew did honour his Ambassador tag and got back to me right away after I contacted him. I was curios about meeting a CS General Manager and by his pictures, he looked as a nice guy. He's a sweet and friendly guy and I really enjoyed his company. He took me to the Mission and then out for some exotic Asian food. He shared a nice conversation and even though he happened to be going through a bad time, for reasons no relevant to this reference, he did an amazing lot to make me feel at home in SF. Thanks a lot Matthew!

Trip is a sweetheart. He always encourages me to speak my mind, listens to me carefully, and shares with me his life experience so I can learn from him. I adore his thoughtful approach and unique character refinement which is a perfect blend of straight-forwardness, gentleness & respect to others. Thank you for sharing with me the fruit of your Spirit, Trip... and cheers to our friendship for the years to come :)

Triple, I met you for only an hour or so in SF with Jim and you lent me your bike, which was really cool of you. I absolutely enjoyed talking to you; pity that we didn't meet again. I love your eyes, your pants and your energy. I hope to see you again somewhere someday and get to know you more. I'll be back!

It all started with Triple interupted my girl-nightout:P
Next thing i know, we were at my favorite bar, having him try some of the very Thai dish, talking abt boys in my life, introducing him to our amazing BKK crew, taking him to the ladyboys show, dancing the nite away, posing a fashion pix, joining my surprised B-day party, AND..Cooked for him in San Fran!!

Trip's got an intense stare that's roughly equivalent to 900V of visual electricity. it probably accompanies x-ray vision, or at least some sort of mind-reading capabilities. TTT also has the superhero skill of writing ever-elusive fictional non-fiction, and falling asleep at any place, at any time! his most superhuman accomplishment was probably keeping the 25 crazy collective kids happy, healthy (relatively?), and productive during our months in thailand. the week he left us for cambodia? we don't speak of that week...

Would love to say we met at a Fashion Show! Triple-T is so stylish with the hats and pose with pics to prove. Talking to Triple makes me miss San Francisco even more. Hope to see You in SF one day TTT!! Take care and Happy travels!! ; )

Mattthew was in Richmond and decided to get in touch. I'm so incredibly happy that he and I went for a drink. Such a wonderful conversationalist, very sincere, polite... just an all around sweetheart. I hope he travels back to visit family again soon (so I can kidnap him for a while!) If not, then I will try and get to see the west coast, and/or burning man. He made that much of an impression on me in just a couple of hours.

This quiet, unassuming, kind, gentle soul is the cornerstone of professionalism for CouchSurfing. With a never ending supply of patience, Triple T steers the team with a wise and mature guiding hand (no big sticks!). He also has a gigantic store of humour and giggles - he was a perfect accompaniment to many of my fun moments during the Collective! This is the start of something big and beautiful Trip - thanks for having me along for the ride!

When I think of Mattthew, I can't help but smile. He's patient, understanding, sensitive and generous. If it's true that an unflinching gaze is a sign of truthfulness (and I believe that!), then there is no more honest creature on this planet. I feel incredibly fortunate to have served alongside him at the Thai and Alaska Collectives. Under the umbrella of his leadership I found guidance, patience, inspiration and home.

Find shelter here and you will never want for more.

TTT is a big sweetheart, generous and awesome!! Really glad to see him in thailand and happy for him he was pulling his project together like he wanted. Wish I could have spent more time with him on phuket and seen him in pai, glad he came over with some CSers to the house.

Triple was an island of serenity in the frenetic maelstrom of the Collective. It's people like him that make me so confident of the future of CS.

Wise beyond his years, Triple T is the gatekeeper and paladin of CouchSurfers worldwide. He is taking the CS community to the next level and does it all with style and finesse. It was my great pleasure getting to know him at the CS Collective in Thailand. Thanks for everything Trip!

When I first saw this person, his bright moon-globe eyes were fixed on an enormous computer monitor, another laptop at his side. (I think he was working on spreadsheets – no way to tell as I couldn’t look directly into the glow) That first meeting I felt quite anxious, but after nearly two weeks at the CS Thailand Collective, I can say surely that I love him *and* his fancy pants.

At CSC Thailand, I had the pleasure of getting to know Trip as an invaluable feedback- and criticism-giver with very clear thoughts on CS and his surroundings. On the non-work-related side, he's someone to have *loads* of fun with, and despite his skinnyness, Trip gives amazing bear hugs :o)

I met tripletee in Nelson, I have photos of him posing with a flower in his hair. He is very cool. Someday, I will go to SanFran and visit him.

He is very serious about what he does and whatever he does he does it with Heart! He is very composed and has a great sense of humour. He takes care of the collective with utmost responsibility. when we were having fun he relentlessly works with a big smile on his face to keep the collective going in full spirit!

As with Casey Fenton, as the GM of CS, Mattthew's reputation doesn't need any help from me. We're forging a relationship between US Servas and CS and Casey, Matt, and the Servas board had a great time working on that at my house recently. Much earlier, I asked him for some background explanations of CS procedures related to problems friends are having, he was very helpful despite being very busy organizing the CS Thailand Collective.

So I'm right...
He IS very patient and dedicated to CS. By meeting him in person I found out that he also is very sweet, kind, considerate, fun and interesting.
He has a happy vibe :-)

He was so kind to get up in the morning really early just to skype with me for over an hour to take me on a trip into the structure and life within CS :-)
I think he is patient and dedicated and just goes his course in his own quiet strong way.
Hope I'm right --> can't wait to meet him in person to find out!

I read a lot about Matthew through CS, and I was happy to find someone low-key with an interesting life, a happy cosy house and a real CS spirit. Without knowing me he made time for a bike ride for my friend and I, invited us for to share a piece of life with his friends, and truely inquired about us, our trip, the CS community in NYC.
As I often say, make your own opinion on people, and mine is that CS is in good hands with him

Mysterious TTT :-) So many parties, so many picnics, so many of everything…it’s great to be around you! It’s now almost a year since I’ve known you and I hope it continues and we create more memories, and more crazy moments :-) If you surf with him, he is the best location you can possible imagine and his roommates or at least one of them who I know very well is the best!!! TTT thanks for working so hard on CS and letting this addiction of mine continue…Much love to you!!!

Triple T seemed like a really nice and genuine guy when I met him in the front of his casa with a guy holding a sign next to his door saying "smile if you masturbate" and then it was good to see him again at the potluck. Even though our chats were short they were enjoyable and left a good impression even though I belive I was acting like a complete nerd on all of our encounters!

It was great to meet TTT after hearing so much about him! Hopefully I will see him again soon.

Mattthew has a flair for the creative. I constantly see him making new costumes and props. When you speak to him, you'll get his full attention, and he'll always offer his supportive thoughts and ideas.

Hey Matt! We met one of the last days at Burning Man... my girlfriend Anelya and I moved to SF recently. We should get together sometime soon for drinks or smokes. I want to hear more about what you're doing for CS.

Triple T was extremely kind, focused and attentive. He's got an excellent vibe and a calming effect. Like a nice cup of Kava but with better conversation :)

TTT is a warm, sweet guy, quiet at first but open to good conversation. Enjoyed spending time with you at the Burn, and thanks for letting me crash your couch when i missed my last bus home :)

Mattthew came with "the crew" of traveling ambassadors, and they camped out all over my house. We had a fabulous meal with some friends of mine and proceeded to get to know each other. Triple T, as he is known is a wonderful soul, sweet, full of life and love and a spirit that is searching for his path. I think he is finding it. Mattthew was a very gracious guest. I am honored, with all his connections and time hosting CSers, to be HIS first couch surfing host!

TTT is an amazing guy. We met at Burning Man and instantly clicked. He is so positive and happy, you can't help but like him. After a week in the desert I feel like I have know him for years.

Thanks TTT for helping make BM the amazing experience that it was and I will definitely have to come and see you in San Fran.

I was really happy to have met Mattthew! He's very easy-going, open and warm person! I felt very welcome at their place in San Francisco! And his flatmates are very friendly too!

Met again at the Black Rock City. He's always happy and smiling, with big hug waiting for everyone. He lets me win at the staring game! And I love his taste in coustumes, just the most wicked outfit you can see! Will miss you Mattthew, but you know I can never stay away from SF for too long!

We had a great time meeting Triple T recently at a party he hosted. When we needed a little helpful advice he had no problem taking the time to talk with us.

I met Triple T in Nelson when I stopped by the collective. We had fun dancing irish jigs at a bar and partying at a CSing BBQ. He was very friendly. I was
lucky to meet up with him again on my trip to San Francisco to share some CSing and life stories. His
apartment is wonderful and he has a very friendly cat.
He made me decide that I must go to Burning Man one day!

TTT is the best!! REALLY though...Kind and humble...open and free...I am really lucky to have him around! Met Trip atop a roof top bar named Medjool where we slurped up Mojitos and talked about the future of CS. It wasn't more than a year later that we were united again in Vermont at a Leadership Retreat and we rolled our sleaves up and laid the foundation for an amazing future at CouchSurfing. I look forward to sharing stories and growing this organization into the amazing dream it can be.

Matthew was a great guest. We spent the day inthe country and at Sheep world. He told me a lot about San Francisco, and hopefully we can catch up again when I am over there next year - Spent 3 nights with Matthew in San Francisco, he is an awesome host. I love American Pizza!

Best house parties around! And he likes to lounge in bathrobes and argyle socks. Sometimes even at his own parties!

Matt took me in when I had no place else to go, which shows a good deal about his character and hospitality. Matt is pretty much the pinnacle of someone who just keeps it real; he's very easy going and totally just let me do my own thing. Definitely a great guy. Highly recommended.

TTT is a good man, with attitude and heart. His relaxed style is something to be admired, and his friendship is something that you want to have.

WOW, what can I say about Triple??? He's sweet, funny, smart as hell, amazing communicator and writer, awesome to party and do grocery shopping with :D, awesome dancer, snazzy dresser (I adore that bathrobe of his!) and a very TRUE person. Triple T has an amazing ability to develop unique mental models of the world around him and then articulate them into words which are easily understandable by us mere mortals.

He's fun and interesting and he likes good music.

Mattthew is a trustworthy person (With or without bunny ears on). He is of a cozy heart and logical thoughts and actions, frank emotions and well lubricated sentences.

He'll stare at you until he gets answers and challenges you without uttering a single word. A pleasure to work with/live with/ party with. Triple is the kind of person that, if there's a problem, and if the problem is in the middle of the river, Triple wades into the river and tries to solve the problem. He is matter of fact and affable and can be counted on as an ally. He's a good person to have by your side as the goons close in.

Who doesn't love Triple T? Nobody in their right mind, that's who. He is an amazing volunteer for CS, he did so much at the Collective. He is the alltime master of words. Another sweet thing about TTT, check out his duds. From cool shirts to the always classy bathrobe, no one tops his style. It was a pleasure to live and work with TTT and I look forward to seeing him again in the future. Oh, and thanks for the awesome hat!

Triple is the calm voice in the storm, my fellow fire-tender, a wise man and youthful sprite combined, & the wearer of the white bathrobe & funky pants (which he's let me borrow!). His sharp mind, subtle hilarity, and sweet demeanor have nothing on his immense heart. He's wonderful, getting to know him has been a pleasure, and I hope our paths cross again soon.

Awesome dude, because i was working i feel a bit robbed of his time, definatly one of the more intersting Couchsurfers ive had.

I'd heard about TTT quite a lot before ever meeting him. Everything that I heard was really really good. Meeting him in person lived up to expectations. He's clever and interesting and fun and "unique" in the very best of ways. Oh, and he's kind. He gave up his seat for me at a show we went to, when I turned up late (I think that says a lot about a person's character). Im only sorry I wasn't at my "unique" best and he had to experience a watered down version of Kirsty. Should our paths cross again i'll make sure that is rectified!!

I can no more call Matttew my host, because you don't meet your hosts every second day, right? So the story is: a lonely girl from Europe arrives to San Francisco and guess where she goes - of course to stay with Matttew on Haight Street (which turned to be my stomping ground eventually). And the fun starts: burritos, beers, jazz, cycling, cooking, etc, etc. But the fun hasn't ended, I'll write a nostalgic reference after I leave San Francisco, because now I don't have time - gotta catch up with ttt.

Someone with their own style, especially one so vibrants as TTT is someone who draws good times towards him. I'm glad you made it swimming to the island, because i know you have so much to give, and I am honoured to share some amazingly good times with you. Your video of the Couchsurfing day out is priceless!!!

Mattt organized a meeting in Richmond for CS'ers there and it was great to meet him! We're lucky to have motivated, interesting people like him building up CS.
