Thorbjørn Kühl

I went to Denmark,Copenhagen, and the next day to be there, me and the other friends went to his place and there we had the cool "pancakes meeting" was so funny, a nice evening eating pancakes, and meeting other couchsurfers!!

Thorbjørn is a cool guy, very good at making pndcakes.
Hope there will be a pandcake party soon.

I enjoyed the pancake party held by Thorbjørn a lot! Thorbjørn is very knowledgeable about the city along with other things, enthusiastic about learning new things, offers a place for cool people to meet and makes lovely pancakes (with beer)! Btw, How about freaky fun fruit pancake party? Will let you know if I think of a better one. Looking forward to seeing you again in the future and chat more!

It seems like Thorbjørn is putting a lot of work into his ambassadorship and he has been a great help for me.
When I finally met him in person he seemed wery nice and I had a great evening with him when he hosted me in Copenhagen - I hope some day I will be able to return the favor and host him in Odense

It is very difficult to summarize in few lines how wonderful it had been to meet Thorbjorn (sorry...still italian keyboard ^^) and the other guys. I was kinda worried about my first Couchsurfing experience, but I have to say he managed making this week wonderful. He wasn't sleeping at his place, but I had the chance to stay with awsome people in the meanwhile and he was so kind and helpful nobody could have been better. He rode me in his Christania bike when I was tired, offered to wash dishes, loved the food I cooked, he was always so funny and cheerful it was such a pleasure to be together. He is really interested in getting to know other people and making them comfortable, and he such a good company. He organized so many activities and even the ones which turned out not to be as expected (two hour walk for a sausage U_u) have been real fun because of his attitude. I got more than a host, I got a friend. Thanks so much for everything, I will never forget this wonderful week!

Well, since he is sitting 2 meters from me as I write this, I should leave a very positive reference for Thorbjørn. (Well, I would do so even if he wasn't). Thorbjørn is a great host in Copenhagen and an interesting personality.. overall a model CS member and a most passionate gmail advocate :-)

A really great guy, we had a lot of fun at Copenhagen and the Tivoli (it was like a shock therapy against my fear of heights, but it didn't help). And of course thanks for the Gmail account..it's great..I don't use my IMail anymore, because I like Gmail so much :)

Thorbjørn been a really great host to us! We had funny chats, he gave us advices for Kopenhagen and invited us to take a free ride at the Tivoli. His mattress is cozy and the other people in his place all easygoing. I would recommend his place to everybody out there, who`s looking for fun in Kopenhagen!

Oh I think if you know Thorbjørn, you know what couchsurfing is. He was my first couchsurfer I met and he answered all my questions I had. He is a tolerant and crazy guy, and have lots of experiences in couchsurfing. If you are in CPH met him, for coffee or better at Tivoli and take some rides with him. And after that you should drink, this combination of breast milk, normal milk, yoghurt, kefir with strawberry flavour? Sounds strange but tasted very good.

Surfing at Thorbjorn's place was a unique experience. Our first minutes at his flat were priceless. We were quite disoriented among all these CS guests going in and out of the flat and making their way between the row of backpacks put against the wall and the mattresses covering most of the floor. We learnt from one of them that Thorbjorn was living at his girlfriend's place and he was letting his entire flat to CS people. Nobody knew exactly how many people were sleeping there that night (7-9?) and there were chances that the last ones coming back couldn't find a proper place to sleep. Then I understood what Thorbjorn meant by "hippie-like flat". At the end, the experience was fine and very enriching. It was so different from my past CS experiences as a guest! But I think I wouldn't repeat it. That's not Thorbjorn's fault at all though; he does much more for CS than I will ever do and I'm very grateful to him for having let us crash at his place. But I prefer a less massive hosting.

Thorbjørn is my uncle! He is always ready to help if you need it.

Thorbjørn is a funny, generous, crazy guy! We had a lot of fun with him!especially in Den lille havfrue and in Tivoli. It was very nice also the brunch we did when we arrived to his place ;)

Thanks so much for letting us stay at your place. It's in central Copenhagen and already when we came we were received by Troy who helped us kindly with our stuff. Fortunately I had the chance to meet the host myself ;) even though it was 5 in the morning.
It was quite stuffed because we (4 girls) shared a room with 5 Brazilian guys. Anyways it was a great experience and we had some awesome days in Copenhagen!

It's a pity that Thorbjørn Kühl took a trip and I met him when I'm leaving. Thank you for hosting me and wish we'll have more time to talk to each other and see you play juggling.

What can I say? This guy it's awesome and I had the chance to pass some time with him at a couple of cs events that invite me too (electronic jazz festival, evening at Tivoli, pancakes, etc.)

I have been his guest for a night with another friend of mine.We had not the chance to talk but he was kind and helpful. If you ever need someone to play the voice of god or prepare you to run away and join the circus you should ask Thorbjørn. It was one adventure after another from the moment we met in Stockholm until I left to catch the train to my next destination. I've never met anyone who can meet people as easily as him - it's absolutely amazing. He also knows how to attract a crowd! He had probably only been in Stockholm for three hours before he was giving a speech and people were videotaping him. If you're in Copenhagen you absolutely have to meet this man!

Unfortunately I didn't get to spend a lot of time with Thorbjorn, but he was an exremely generous and gracious host. He really went out of his way to make sure that I and the other couchsurfers had a good experience in Copenhagen. Also made us pancakes! Champion.

Thor was an outstanding host. He made me feel at home in his place, facilitated meeting other couch surfers, and is just an overall great guy. I had a great time at his place and got to know some other travelers too. He makes good pancakes too :) Thanks Thor!

Thorbjørn is simply lovely person, warm, sweet, funny, caring, loving! We spent wonderful time talking, joking, doing some basic acrobatics, watching theatre, laughing, playing, hugging, playing with Animal, singing, jumping... He gave me strenght to believe again in things that matter and reminded me that there really are truly wonderful people in existence.

Same as me Thorbjørn is a boy who don't practise the set language and that is good to c that I'm not alone in this case. Change nothing Thorbjørn, other people need guys like us :D

In the little time that Thorbjorn was there (to organize our entry into Tivoli!) I was impressed by the zeal+energy+commitment this guy has for CS and for 'life' in general..... (as in, he had other plans for the evening and seemed mighty excited about them)! :)

Torbjörn was fantastic! Not only did he host - and made possible the party came to be, he was fantastic to talk to, funny, openhearted and great sense of life. Definitly a person you want to meet up with! Hope i get to see him around again on new CS adventures!

We met this gentleman at a CS meeting in wonderful Copenhagen and he was absolutely kind and generous. He gave us some great tips and is certainly worthy of his ambassador status.

Sorry we had to leave to quick, but we really needed to work out our travel. Perhaps next time we will be able to chill a while longer.

Heck yeah Tivoli! I had a wonderful short soiree with this cool dude just wandering about Tivoli and losing his niece ever 2 minutes, haha. I got good vibes from him and I felt real comfortable and happy hanging around him. We ought to try playing on some more playgrounds sometime!

We just met for 1h30, time to make a small round of the city and take his home keys as he was leaving for Poland for 3 days. Thobjorn is a very unusual person and that was nice to meet him and have a small ride in his Christiania Bike.We had a great stay in Copenhagen.

Thorbjørn is a really nice and very openminded guy, that I enjoyed to meet though it was only a couple of hours.

Interesting that I should find myself next to Thor wandering the streets of Krakow a few weeks ago looking for a place to dance. One tall, one short. Long hair on the guy, short hair on the girl. Sexy accents, really, for both. From different corners of the world when I think about it. Then when Thor started singing to us all in Danish, I was assured that our weekend together would be surreal. Thor rocks my world.

I'm sure now it is not only my impression that it just felt right from the first moment I met him. Spending time with him really feels good...he's funny, relaxed and full of energy at the same time. Hope to meet him again in Denmark.

UPDATE: I had chance to meet him again in Copenhagen and surfed his couch for 3 nights...plus last evening we had the longest walk to have grilled sausage ever. Thanks Thorbjorn for everything! It was just great :)

They say timing is everything. Thornjorn came to Warsaw at one great time. He landed into a long night party that ended the next afternoon. We partied hard together. I hosted him that night and I can give him 95 / 100. He is a non smoker, good dancer, likes kebabs, tells jokes and tells it like it is. In my books that all good. Cheers.

We met at a cs meeting and then after at a brunch other cs members were at. He is a funny and warm guy. He is a free spirit, and makes everyone around him feel comfortable.It was a pleasure to meet him.

The best profile would not do justice to this guy. He will definitely teach you how to play a game simply called 'The Game'. Not only that but the moments that you spend with him will have you in stitches all the time. What a lovely personality. You owe me a salsa dance tutorship :).

Very enjoyable to talk with and such a nice, pleasant and friendly laid-back guy I met at one of the events in Copenhagen. Thorbjørn managed to be everywhere at the same time, attentive to everyone, and a great organizer and host of the event where he ensured that everyone felt welcome and had a great time.

I first met Thorbjørn right after freezing… no, not freezing my ass, but participating to the World Freeze Day in Copenhagen ;)
He invited some of us over to his place for some pancakes, even if he just met most of us! :)
I met him again at a CS meeting he organized, 2 days later, and since he heard that it might be easier for me to find somebody living closer to the center (leaving the day after early morning), he came to me and offered me to crash at his place :)
Even if I haven’t spent much time with Thorbjørn, since that night he stayed at his GF’s, I can say that he seems to be as helpful as possible with CSers, whatever they are just passing by (having a place occupied almost year-round by CSers and not by himself!) or locals (organizing meetings and trying to help out new members… or making people he just met become a member of CS creating a profile as I’ve seen it by myself!).
Thorbjørn, thanks again, and when I’ll have a place, I’ll be happy to return the favor hosting you and your girlfriend, so feel free to let me know ! ;)

I met this guy at a picnic that he helped organize in Copenhagen. At the picnic he was all around being all sorts of hospitable and snapping away with his camera.
When I got to Copenhagen I didn't know what to expect, but when I left, I left having had a great time.
It was great hanging with TB, talking to him and playing Kung with him :) Let me know if you ever come up north east.

It is my belief that he is an asset to couchsurfing!!!

If i gonna make a movie about the Vikings (and i certainly will...) this guy will be for sure some of them :-) very alive, funny... ye, its one of the few guys that remained from the viking age... and i guess he has to become a photographer!

When I stepped into his room I felt like a complete stranger, after 5 minutes I couldn`t stop laughing on his stories. 2 days later we said good bye as friends after a pretty nice sunny picnic. He is an excellent host hope to meet him again!

he is such a great guy. he led seven people stay at his appartment at the same time, while he even stayed at his girl-friends place.

We had a big luck with him as a CS-virgin users... Now we can see how is an ambassador`s life like: carrying the guest in the bicycle bucket (as a heavy load :)), dancing for flute music with cast on the foot...
I also want to be an ambassador, like him!

Altough I didn t see Thorbjorn to much, he was everytime away and busy, I had a great time in Copenhagen, and the few hours I was with him and his girlfriend Louise, they seamed very cool:) and don't worry he always answers you if you need something:)

I stayed at thorbjørns place for a night and even tough we didnt spend that much time together, he seems to be a very cool, outgoing and very much talkative person. He has the soul of an AUTHENTIC COUCHSURFER and really hope next time we can grab a beer!!!! Takk skal du ha!!!!

Thorbjørn helped make my stay in Copenhagen easy and worry free. His place is very conveniently located near the center and the transportation. I ended up sleeping in three different places while there and they were all very comfortable. Thorbjørn was busy with real life so I didn't see much of him, but I coul tell he is a very sincere and trustworthy guy.

Well... he's not afraid to ride around with a man in a basket on the front of his bike... that is the first thing that comes to mind...

Very outgoing, generous and fun guy. Definitely I am going to miss him and I would definitely want to hang out again.

Although we only met for a very short while, we found him and his girlfriend very sympathetic, interesting and probably great friends-to-be. We would definitely like to get to know them better, and we would like to host them in our home in Sweden.

Eventhough Thorbjørn already hosted some people he managed to give us a place to sleep too. Unfortunatly we only met in the beginning and then we never had an opertunity, what really was a pitty, I would have loved to taste your pancakes :)
