Participate in Creating a Better World, One Couch At A Time

 The New CS v2.0
NEW ZEALAND
November to April, 2007.

CouchSurfing continues to grow, not only in members, but also in its functionality and philosophy. In order to sustain the decentralized and more powerful direction of CS, we’re continuing this think tank (and work camp, lol!) to rally our resources, get even more resources, and make the best use of the talented, dedicated people who really love the project and want to invest in its future. CouchSurfing is in a rapid development phase; here is your opportunity to be a part of something big! This project belongs to all of us and we’re creating another Collective in the southern hemisphere for both returning participants to open the doors to a new crew of volunteers to work together to elevate our project to the next level.

We seek to foster an active CouchSurfing community in New Zealand—a country that promotes world travel, and an environment that promotes green living and ecology. Having such a robust local community will entice members to be more active within the system. New Zealand is the perfect location for expanding our network in the southern hemisphere, and in turn, Asia. It is uniquely positioned to ensure a strong future for CouchSurfing.

We need you! The collective will be meeting from November through at least February with the focus more on longer-term volunteer positions. Come for a couple weeks, come for month, come for as long as you can. Just come and contribute in whatever way makes the best use of your unique skills and talents. You could even come early and help set this thing up. Get in on the ground floor with us; we really believe this is going to be big.

The Collective meets one or more times a year. To learn more, check out this group.
