From OH DONNA Black Rock City, United States Jul 12, 2007 Positive The Couch Surfing Collective has been an amazing experience for me. Even though I am a generation away from all these beautiful people, there is no distance. I truly feel welcomed and loved. My life is so much richer for this. I Love you all. Peace.
From Heather O'Brien San Francisco, United States Jan 23, 2007 Positive The true reason I'm coming! Philosophy is speculation, Zen is participation. Participate in the night leaving, participate in the evening coming, participate in the stars and participate in the clouds;+1 color=red> make participation your lifestyle and the whole existence becomes such a joy, such an ecstasy. You could not have dreamed of a better universe.
Osho Zen: The Miracle
From Blake Gregory Montreal, Canada Aug 14, 2006 Positive Stopping in a few times before and then many more times 'during' the Crash, I feel as though I am an exponentially better person for having met the glorious team that is the CS MTL Collective. Everyone there inspired me to no end and it was amazing to see just how well so few people can work under so much pressure in so little time to accomplish so much. I owe my summer to these guys - they're the absolute greatest and I look forward to meeting back up with them upon my return! Thanks again for everything!!
From BELLE DVM Montreal, Canada Aug 13, 2006 Positive the cs collective was an awesome example of what i hoped couchsurfing was about when i joined- the cooperation, the comraderie, and the dedication of the team was great to see. i'm glad i got to help out a little bit.
From Cari Baun Myrtle Beach, United States Aug 10, 2006 Positive Had a great time meeting Jim out for a beer! talked about lots of things!!! How was Pearl Jam by the way?!
From THEKIDNEXTDOOR Laval, Canada Aug 4, 2006 Positive I visit the CSC a few times during summer. The people working there beleave in this great project and I do to.
From BART29 Montreal, Canada Aug 2, 2006 Positive Nice and friendly people. Provided me with nice dinner on 25 July upon my arival via Illinois (USA) from West-Europe.
Helped me out whith my (heavy) luggage, could even borrow a bike. Let me use their internet-computers for some time.
Got much more understanding for all the time and effort they and others put in the CS-project.
From Mark Amsterdam, Netherlands Aug 1, 2006 Positive The CSC is a cool initiative by the founder(s) of CS to decentralize the CS network.
From YEAH SURE NO WORRIES Melbourne, Australia Jul 30, 2006 Positive The collective was far more than I could have imagined. I excepted to pop in for two days, see what was happening and clean a few dishes. I stayed for five days and met some thought altering people who are individually intriguing and collectively "kick ass"
From Yan Levasseur Montreal, Canada Jul 29, 2006 Positive Me and Jules deliver tons of bread to the Collective every week. I was just introduced to the place and I want to spend more time to get to know the people.
From SUNDANCECID Victoria, Canada Jul 25, 2006 Positive working on a dream come true. Have been there for only 2 days and to a really bad time... But anyway everybody seemed so happy and friendly and made me feel welcome, when I crashed the place without further notice. It was such a great experience to give a tiny little piece of ideas and work to tis big dream. Keep on working on that CS dream, you are all amazing! Lots of Cheers from Jess
From Cari Laythorpe Southampton, United Kingdom Jul 24, 2006 Positive It's not a thing, a person or a system that makes it.
It's a feeling.
Intangible... to the very core.
And the core is the seed that gives it life.
From Scott Los Angeles, United States Jul 24, 2006 Positive Remember when the Collective was just a small child trying to find its way in the world? Such hopes and dreams and ambitions. It was inspiring then even before the Collective galvanized and pulled off the greatest comeback in the history of the net. The Collective is full of amazing, incredible people. Visit for yourself and you will walk away with new friends and an expanded view of what is possible in the world.
From M2N Montreal, Canada Jul 20, 2006 Positive Awesome people that represent what Couchsurfing is all about and working at making it the best site for travelling!
From MrRico Montreal, Canada Jul 20, 2006 Positive Those members are simply awesome. Did you know that in 4 days they took the project from the ground up? Andnot being satisfied, and prolly having a bit of time on their hand, they decided to enhanced it bringing CS 2.0 alive!
From Chris Burley Brattleboro, United States Jul 20, 2006 Positive The CSC is like nothing else. Rewarding to the last drop, frustrating at times, eternally educational and always evolving. I've enjoyed it.
From Eric Smiley Seattle, United States Jul 19, 2006 The Countdown to the Couchtown Pilgrimage has Begun... July 25-31!!! I'm there! Will fly into Boston on the 24th, but then I need a ride to Montreal, and then back to Boston or New York on the 31st. I'm not a tekkie, just someone who's interacted extensively with the site and with a lot of wonderful people I've met through it, and have some strong opinions on improvements to the site and the vision for the collective. Am a renowned hairstylist, will be traveling to MT with supplies, but if you make me work on my vacation you gotta pay me some cash!
