Thank you for your interest in the CouchSurfing volunteer team! CouchSurfing is a non-profit organization that depends on volunteers to survive and grow. Any member can become a volunteer for CouchSurfing, and we have a need for every type of volunteer. You can volunteer just a little or a lot, and we need all types of skill-sets and all levels of experience. Volunteering for CouchSurfing is a great learning opportunity, and you'll be supporting a community you love.

At the moment we currently have new team supervisors working at building expert teams in the areas of:

· Technology

· Volunteer Coordination

· Public Relations & Marketing

· Member Communications

· Design & User Interface

· Events & Outreach

· Member Disputes & Safety

· Member Services

Special note: We have been recently overwhelmed with applications from potential volunteers and are excited about getting more of you involved as soon as possible. At this time we are concentrating our efforts towards enabling the systems needed in order to take in new volunteers much more effectively. However, if you feel you have the necessary skills to assist in any of the above areas then please complete the online volunteer application and we will get in contact with you as soon as possible, likely during or after May 2008.

• Credit Card Processing and Analysis
• We accept credit card payments through our optional verification process and often experience issues that are difficult to diagnose. If you have experience with accepting similar transactions through a third party provider (in our case we use BluePay) we'd love to have you on our team! Please write to us and explain your experience with this area and how you might be able to help.

• Media Connectors
  
• Are you someone professionaly involved in the media world? Do you have Barbara Walters on your speed dial? If so, we want to talk to you! Seriously, we're looking for media-minded folks with established connections in the field of all things media oriented. If this sounds like you, please write to us and explain your experience with this area and how you might be able to help.

• Researchers
• Is LexisNexis your browser's start page? Are you familiar with the 10 most confusing cities in the world to travelers (or at least know where to look for the answer?) From global economic indexes to Thai visa issues to what kind of font is the easiest on the eyes to read - we always have a growing list of questions that need real answers.
