Ennio Albano

Ennio was the greatest host and friend!!!I cant even begin to brag about how accomodating he is! He took time away from work to make sure I tried traditional Sicilian foods and that I saw the greatest sites in Palermo! Thank you thank you thank you Ennio for the pizza, the crepes, the pasta!, the seafood, the PHOTOS, the italian lessons, and the memories! I will never forget you. Oh, and thank you also for the 5 kilos, hahahaha. Keep in touch friend.

At the beggining of my stay in Palermo we met several times, going out, talking, drinking, enjoying Palermo nightlife, also I got to see a (not very successful) football game of the European Champianship Italy-Netherlands, really cool, on his terrasse, with a beamer, pizza and beer :)

From May I met Ennio several times in Palermo, in meetings and through other couchsurfers. He was always friendly and polite, and willing to help you with suggestions when you travel to Sicily.

Ennio was great host!! He is right I will remember for a long time how to say in italian hot water :D Me and my friend felt very comfortable in his appartment. We had fun to spent together evenings, eating ice-cream at 1.00 a.m.(in Latvia we don't use to eat at so late time :) ), going to the mountain for seeing city from the top and meeting Ennio's friend.. I met Ennio for the first time in S. Petersburg and after some minutes I understud he's the a real couchsurfer. This guy is a easy going, smart, always smiling person. I spent great time in SP with him. Next time I hope to see your Sicily! :)

Ennio is amazing!!! I hosted him 8 days. It was my first host, that changed my life. He taught me drink real italian coffee, as he brought the italian coffee machine in my house :)With him I studied to make friends in CS and learned some italian words. I have had many occasion to meet ennio in to palermo and I have discovered in him a strong attitude to dialogue and the to have a good time together him, he is very kind and polite besides with ennio we have discovered to have in common many friends, I am sure that whoever will have the possibility to know ennio we will fully be satisfied.

ennio is an outgoing, very enthusiastic and talkative italian. we went together to some of palermo’s nightlife hotspots with some of his friends. if it weren’t for him i would’ve probably missed them all.

Ennio is a great guy! He hosted a fabulous soccer party on his equally fabulous terrace, complete with steaming pizza, exploding candles, and 39 frenzied Italians who tried to light the lone Dutchman's clogs on fire upon the utter annihilation of the Italian team. He's warm, friendly, and very generous, as evidenced by the fact that he let us all run rampant on his roof.

I would love to return, Ennio, but if I don't make it, you should come out here instead. Our beaches may not be as beautiful, but you haven't lived until you've seen San Francisco. Ti aspetto!

Ennio has been really nice to get me in a meeting to watch the football match, without knowing who I was.
The score was to forget, but seeing a group of 40 good-mood people that I had never met in my city makes me think that it's never too late to be surprised by things you think you already know!

through Valentina who hosted me for two nights in palermo I met this enthusiastic bloke who injects travel energy into all of you by talking with such a positive enthusiasm about his travelling experiencies..

Ennio kindly host us for one night... and it was too short! we felt like at home! Ennio is a openminded guy, generous, who really cares about his hosts , he took us in the city,by night, his friends are really nice, we were so lucky to surf his couch!

The surfing community in Palermo was like few others i've come across. Perhaps it was the Sicilian way of life, the good weather or because they thought i was a popstar ... but everyone i met was incredible.

While I didn't stay at Ennio's place I was shown a fair few hot spots and attended his CS events: pub nights and lunches and photo-slide-shows to name a few.

Ennio is the reason I've started hosting here in Cork and I've loved every bit of it.

A very open modern minded guy from Palermo, with a big heart, who clearly understands that we all have to fight against different prejudicies..People, Sicily is not any longer what you saw in the movies:) try the ricci!!

Ennio is such a sweetheart! A great and very friendly person. He made me feel as we have known each other for years. He organized a dinner with his friends and told me I can bring my friends along as well. It was lovely! Next time, we will spend more time together.

It was great having Ennio surf my couch in Florida! He has such enthusiasm for life and for CS. I enjoyed his company so much, that I told the boss that I was sick so I could spend more time with him.

We shared a few lovely meals together, Mexican in Miami, and pancakes in Coral Springs. Ennio also made me a lovely meal of pasta with fresh mozarella and tomatoes, it was super! It was fun talking to a fellow city ambassador about CS. We also spent about an hour talking about hurricanes! He brought me some very cool gifts from Palermo! We meet at a dinner in Miami where Ennio was visiting with his friend Antonella. After dinner I gave them a little tour of the city, visiting several places and we finally ended our trip at club Escape to dance Salsa.

Ennio is one of the happiest person I had met. It's a shame they had to leave Miami so soon.

My friend, I hope to see you soon in Italy, Russia or any other part of the world. Or maybe in the future we can travel to another planets, or another Galaxy.

I realized it on the highway about 10 minutes later.I called him, He said don't worry ! I hope he will leave the hotel to stay at my beautiful house. I went to meet him at airport to Pay him back on the day he departed.

I met Ennio in Palermo and he took me for a scooter drive all over Palermo, which was at the same time a bit scary, but mostly awesome!!:)In the evening we had a dinner together with his friends and some other CSers. Our second meeting took place in Brussels. It was like meeting an old friend and Im so happy to be Ennio's friend. Of course our weekend was unforgettable again and Im looking forward to chapter 3 in Stockholm:)!

My impression after meeting Ennio is an always smiling, polite and gentle guy :-) We haven't talk much but there is always time to change it if he decide to come to Poland :-)

Ennio and I met in Brussels thanks to Eszter, our host! He is such an amazing guy full of energy and good vibes. He arrived late in the evening and brought two packages of fresh pasta with him as a present as a good Siciliano (one of the best pasta I have ever eaten in my life although I was a bit dissapointed he didn't bring any "mortadella" ;-). We spent that nite eating Hungarian products and drinking Tokaj wine. We exchanged travelling anecdotes an shared stories while dreaming of new trips and adventures. He loves talking even more than I do (and I talk a lot, believe me!!!)
We walked around Brussels for the whole day, so much that my feet still hurt!
I learned a lot from him, for example, about the volcanic islands in Sicily or about energy efficiency (he works every day for a greener world although it's still a mistery to me how he is going make the Palermo Town Hall save 4 million euros in energy savings!)
As a good Dottore in Ingegneria, he showed me his high-tech towel and rope which dry in 5 mins and weight around 50 grams, ideal for travelling (when i go to Palermo, I need to buy those too!!!)
Ennio is a person with a big heart who likes sharing with others and who leaves 2 euros tip to taxi drivers when he is in a good mood ;-)
If you have the chance to meet him and maybe also to stay with him in Palermo, your life will change ever since!

Ennio is the first C.S. of Palermo that I met though my first French guests. Now we often leave together both with our guests among friends. He is an excekkent organiser...I partecipated in the holiday in London and I enjoyed a lot! Until next adventure!

I surfed Ennio's couch (5 stars couch I must say:) during 3 great days spent in Palermo. He's totally involved in CS idea, travelling, hosting. Ennio agreed to host me and my sister after our previous host left for Spain. He has the best place for surfers that I've seen.
