CouchSurfing Leadership Team
Who are the members of the Leadership Team and what does the Leadership Team do?
Leadership Team members make strategic decisions for CouchSurfing and lead
defined departments of volunteers who are entrusted to make tactical
decisions for CouchSurfing. The members participate in dialogue and
debate, guided by the mission, about vital issues and decisions facing the
organization. Team members come from a range of perspectives, but each
member has deep knowledge about some aspect of the organization and/or the
environment in which it operates. The Leadership Team is comprised of
trusted, dedicated volunteers who have demonstrated the qualities of
leadership spelled out in the
Qualities
of Leadership Peer Review. Our purpose first and foremost is to serve
the mission of CouchSurfing. We are committed to excellent service to the
community, effective and regular communication, a transparent
decision-making process, quality operations management, and accountability

As the first official CouchSurfer and CS community enthousiast, I participate in the Leadership Team in the following fields:General policy consulting and coordination, advise on general organizational direction and strategy, Project Management Team advisor, Safety Team member, diplomatics and locating the best coffee on earth. |

Girl wonder responsible for media projects (like documentaries, vlogs, TV shows, etc), content writing, Wanderlust (the CS newsletter) writer and editor, jobs that just need to get DONE, and hullabaloo.

Local Time: 4:45pm Username: HOFFER Primary Focus: I am sort of a "COO" type doing pretty high-level, overarching stuff .. like developing the organizational structure and certain operational processes ... imbuing the company with a culture of "Focus, Structure, and Discipline" ;) ... and besides that ... company strategy, finance, business development/alliances, strategic marketing, "vision," and media interviews :-)
In terms of specific areas of responsibility, I also head up the Advertising/Revenue Generation component of the project, and soon will be taking over the "Couchsurfing Cares" (housing for displaced refugees) initiative. |
