Mandie is my favorite Aussie. Her passion for communication and her many talents have taught me much in the short time that I've known her. This, which she's brought into my life, is invaluable and I appreciate it to my core. Thank you Mandie!

Additionally, if you've ever wished for a fantastic conversation or a belly-aching laughter story, you've got to meet her!

Mandie has a vivacious personality and a great accent to boot! I had a lot of fun meeting her at the CS HQ where I was able to give them a hand and enjoyed quite a festive party! Wonderfully fun to be around and definitely talk with her if you get the chance. It was a pleasure meeting you Mandie and I hope we get the chance to run into each other again. I'm going to Costa Rica collective, much love!

I hosted Mandie and two other surfers at the last moment out in Vegas. I am really glad everything worked out the way it did. Mandie was great- very thankful for everything and very easy to host. I appreciate that as a host- someone who is able (and willing) to completely fit into my schedule- willing to get up early to attend a store opening and stay up late playing Taboo! Great to meet you and we better see each other again some day!!

One of my favorite massage memories.... we're overlooking the Cook Inlet and the mountains on a bluff, it's sunny and not a cloud in the sky, and here we are doing massage outside. Mandy has a very sweet and shining personality.She is also wicked fun to knock back a fews cocktails and groove on the dance floor.

Nearly convinced me to walk a different path. Changed my outlook :-)

I met Mandie at the in Alaska at the collective and then we hitched all the way to Vancouver together. She was great to travel with, very generous and can take a lot of abuse. Even on the alaskan highway when we were getting rained on and hearing more gun shots than seeing cars, she held her own. Every host we stayed with down the road loved her, and she always talked about wanting to host more herself and return the favor. Good ole' mandie, I'll be seeing you round the world!

Mandie is a very interesting person and i ejoyed spending time talking with her and hearing about her travels... For being the first couch surfer to crash at my place she def left a lasting impression on my whole outlook towards couch surfing.

Mandie was the first person I hosted from CS and it was an awesome experience. Her travels have inspired me and I hope to travel the way she does when my life has time for a break.

Mandie!! I could write a book instead of a reference here. Her positive outlook on life can be downright overwhelming. Her beautiful smile and twinkling eyes are bound to make you feel happy! They can turn the most awful rainy day into a sunny one :) Hitchhiking with her down from Alaska to Vancouver was an awesome experience, and one I will not forget lightly.

Mandie rhymes with candy... and that's not by chance!! It takes just one of her hugs to feel at home and one of her smiles to lighten up the cloudiest day. Times with Mandie are always SUPER good times and you will never feel you got enough of them!

She is sweet, good friend, compasive, bright, willing to meet new people and go places, a real traveller and full of Couchsurfing spirit. I was very lucky to meet Mandie and being able to share wonderfull moments in the Collective and out of it in Alaska, we saw whales, went flying and lots of more fun and unforgetable moments. Hope to see more of her in the future, hopefully in Spain!

Mandie moves through the world around her with the refreshing glow of a soul at peace... I don't remember seeing her without a smile on her face. Mmmmmandy. Mandy is one of those ultra sweet, mega positive, uber wonderful people with so much to offer the CS community. She's an insta-friend, just add smiles. I can't wait to host her in NYC.

Mandy and her friends Ken and Walter were great. Mandy is super fun and very easy to talk with! We didnt get to hang out much but they made my roomate and I a great dinner and they were all very tidy, fun and sweet. Best on your travels guys! You're welcome back anytime.

Mandy was an excellent guest when her and the boyz stayed over at our place. She is really kind-hearted and a genuinely nice person. We all had a lot of laughs and it was my pleasure to meet everyone and have them share all of their experiences. I definately recommend Mandy for people to host!!

Mandie is a sparkler..her eyes and whole face just tell you there are so many stories and so much kindness within. She seems to be able to relate and draw out all kinds of people and makes ya feel all fuzzy like you've just known her forever and refound her. I loved that I would wander outside to just love it, and Mandie would be there too, just appreciating the night...she's very easy to appreciate the night with, even without talking she's a comforting cohort. I will miss you, and see you again, come visit anytime ;).

Amazing Mandie! There are people who come into our lives and stay, a few who come and go (never to be heard of again), and those who pass through (only for a few moments) and leave a footprint in our lives FOREVER! I truly believe Mandie is an Angel from above and is here to touch so many lives! Our time together was way too short; however, I know our paths will cross again. :o) If you don't take the chance to surf/host/or travel with Mandie, you've just let a true Angel fly-by. My time with Mandie went over like a treat. She is so deliciously cool I can't stand it. At one point she risked her life to save mine (sort of), we watched an amazing sunset, and most recently played the penny slots on the strip. She is a curious person, very kind, helpful, fun to be around, and has a great smile. Can't wait to come and get the Snapple Truck!

Had SO much fun in Alaska with Mandie and the other CS'ers. Hopefully she comes to see me in Kamloops soon. I look forward to having her surf my couch!

Mandie is full of positive energy and she's a lot of fun. She has a warm smile and a hug to match... She's also happens to be a smart cookie and I found her to be a very helpful resource during my time at the Collective. Thanks Mandie!

Mandie is a wonderful, affectionate, caring, and helpful person. You can sit and talk with her for hours and it seems like only minutes. I very much so enjoy her company, her friends, and even her dancing. I truly trust this person and put the upmost confidence in her abilities. She is such an upbeat person, someone you want to remain friends with. I hope some day I will be as good of a person as she is.

Although she joined the collective only a couple of days before I had to say goodbye, Mandie has brought a radiant smile to everyone from the first day of arrival. I experienced her as a hard and concentrated worker as well as loads of fun to party with! I have high hopes to hear a lot more from her ;o)

Ohhrrr Noorrrr! Mandie is the sweetest of the sweet. Her beautiful Australian laugh is quite contagious. I will never forget the time she searched all over Pai for special soup for Charish and me while we were sick in bed. I'm all better now, thanks in no doubt solely to Mandie's kindness.

Mandie was a wonderful roommate in Thailand and an even better friend. We got along famously from the beginning and I can't believe I found someone MORE laid back than I am! She continually challenges me to think less, feel more, and be even more in the moment than I ever thought was possible. I'm so glad to know this wonderful, funky human!

Mandie is a real pro when it comes to Communication. Hanging out with her I learnt a lot from her about style and confidence when dealing with others, thanks Mandie for that. There are few people in this world who transcend professionally and personally in all they do; Mandie is one such soul. I had the unique pleasure to get to know her during the Thai Collective, and within a short amount of time I began to recognize that she is more than a great communications professional and dedicated CS volunteer...more than a beautiful woman with a kind and generous spirit...and far more than just a friend. In a short amount of time, because of the amazing person she is, she has become a sister to me. She is intuitive, funny, wise, easy-going, and absolutely stunning inside and out. Anyone would be lucky to host her, to be hosted by her, or to enjoy her presence for a short while over a midnight plate of pad thai or a beautiful glass of red wine. I feel blessed to have met Mandie, and I will always carry her in my heart.

It didn't took me long to see what a wonderful spirit Mandie is! thoughtful, loving, adventures, knows how to stay positive, appreciate life and is aware of her surrounding. As more as I get to know her as more she captures a part of my heart, is like family. I hope will stay in touch for a long time!

I met Mandie at the Thai Collective in 2008. She was always incredibly warm and welcoming. Always smiling and full of good cheer. I really loved the way she knew how to strike a great balance in everything she did - from going out and partying hard one night and just taking it easy relaxing with a pile of DVD's the next. You'd be laughing and joking with her one minute and then talking about things very deep and meaningful the next. Very much looking forward to meeting up with Mandie on future travels.

mandie has a golden heart that is abundantly apparent from the second you meet her. maybe even a second before you meet her you start feeling a tingle of something good to come, and then BAM! there she is. she has some beautiful and hilarious stories, after which i've basically adopted her as my life model. i need to get a bracelet for decision making that says "WWMD?" does it sound like i'm exaggerating? i'm not. mandie is warm and loving, and supportive in a way i have rarely experienced before. love this lady.

Mandie and I shared some great times together at the CS Collective in Thailand. She's a fab listener and 100% understanding (even if there's not a proper breakfast some mornings). I give her a big Australian 'ooh-some'. Mandie, I'm jealous of your experiences in Romania and hope to hear more about them soon.

What a powerhouse of energy and smiles! Mandie is awesome! Too awesome.. and it made me sad that I was in Pai for such a short time and didn't get to spend more time with her. This is one of the first people I felt connected to at the CS Thailand Collective. Her energy seemed high, even during fierce combat with Thailand parasites. I am glad to know her, and I’m quite excited to watch what grows out of the Community Communications group.

Mandie M - finally I have tracked down your profile! Mandie is a fantastic asset at the Thai Collective, as soon as she arrived she was getting things done and trying super hard to understand EVERYTHING so she could do her job better (a method of working I tend to go for as well!) She was a great support during my time at the Thai Collective, we had lots of laughs and hugs and chats.

It was a plaisure to meet and talk with mandie, she's a very interesting woman. I hope than your travel in Thailland will be very good. If you come in belgium come say me Hello.

Oh mandie we miss you! Mandie is a fabulous person - witty, easy going and tons of fun! She is so passionate about everything she is doing - be it having deep converations, partying all night or cooking her hosts a lovely dinner! This was definitely not the last time we have met!!! We will always keep a bottle of red wine ready so that you can come back at any time :o)

***update*** so we met again to spend a wonderful new years eve together and it was fabulous! around mandie time seems to be flying and although we had five days together time passed much too fast! i'm really glad we could meet again and get to know lovely mandie better. so where are we going to meet next? :o)

Mandie is a lot of fun and really nice, even though she will definitely try to insult you when you play a +4 against her in UNO :P I had a good time with her in Gossau and I admire how she kept smiling despite all the 1st-paragraph jokes. She radiates positive energy! Hope to meet again :)

Mandie's great! She first came to the CouchSurfing Paella 2007 at my place and half a year later she returned for some days to celebrate New Year's Eve together with a bunch of other surfers. Mandie's very considerate and communicates clearly - at least most of the time :-)

Mandie contacted me and asked me to stay at my place although I warned her that I had a plaster and was in crutches and couldn't take care of her the way I "usually" take care of my guests. Instead she took care of me, helped me out in my house, cooked for me and we spoke for a long, long time.
Very deep ,very communicative, generous and soulful, Mandie is the special person that everyone should meet once in their life.
Although she spent a relatively short time at my place, it was more than enough to understand what a special and interesting person she is.
Ah..she has a secret...this secret she shares with everyone... that secret is so simple... the power of life lies within all of us!

Mandie and I shared a positively explosive time together - I haven't laughed that hard since I don't know when ...! Mandie is a fantastically open and real individual and adjectives are insufficient to convey her warmth and lovely presence!

W AUSTRALIA!!! W AUSSIE GIRLS!!! W MANDIE!!! I had the pleasure to host her in Galiga for a night (to short a time!) and to pass a wonderfull evening in her company at Massimo's house in Pistoia. Friendly, positive and super polite: a really perfect couchsurfer and a very nice and happy person! If you ever come back to Tuscany, you must stop by in Galiga again...and see it in the day time!!! Ok?

Well as far as Aussies go, hands down the coolest. As far as just the kind of person she is well... besides having a long lost twin in another country, shes 100% awesome! How great it was to meet her and look forward to seeing her someday in our travels!

We had a really nice time hanging out at the Paella party. I enjoyed our conversations a lot and she survived being my first massage victim :) She is awesomely good fun, interesting and a great person. I cannot wait to meet again. Hopefully in Rumania. Yeeeeey.

Mandie fit right in with my CS Group of friends as though she was a friend of years. I was impressed by her calm, open, and fun attitude (and approach) to CS; she had a great inquisitive nature, and had a mature perspective of CS even though she was still a fairly new member. Her actions follow her poise, and I saw that she was a helpful guest at Vince's home.

We met at the CS Paella 2007, and although we did not have a lot of time to get to know each other, she definitely caused me a great impression. Mandie is a very positive, anergetic and ethusiastic person. We had a lot of fun during the meeting and shared some very nice conversations about travels, CS and how to fix the world. Mandie has a very positive aura around her. She just manages to cheer me up just by being there. I really enjoyed strolling around Geneva and having very diverse conversations with her. My long CS adventure unfortunately came to an end but with a blast thanks to her!

I met Mandie several times while we were both travelling in Switzerland. I immediately liked her a lot; such a sweet, funny and good person! She brings heaps of sunshine to this world and I really hope to cross her path again one day!!!

Since Mandie and I didn't really get a chance to talk at Vince's paella, I'm really happy that we accidentaly both ended up in Bern at the same time. In the course of only a few days we've shared a lot of great moments together, especially at the rope park where Mandie made a great effort to overcome her fear of heights! :)

I am lucky I could vouch for Mandie, because an extremely positive is not enough to describe her. Mandie with "ie" is unique - and that's what she is as well! I really loved to have her here, she instantly became a friend of us. Such a nice, helpful, interesting, understanding, openminded and lovely woman... The CS community can be very happy to have her in the group!

Aussie Mandy has big eyes like a child, spreading by the enthusiasm she usually puts talking and joking. Since the first moments at the camp and all along the week end, I had the impression she's honest and so cheerful, that kind of new good stranger we always hope to meet. I met Mandie at the Paella, and then again in Bern over an ice-cream, and then again on the tree tops of ropetech, sliding across the branches and crossing waggly bridges. My favourite part was doing the dishes though....:) Count me in next time too. What struck me the most was her positive energy, and how she makes everyone around her feel comfortable and happy. You HAVE TO get a job in Bern! :p

Mandie just brings life whenever she enters a room. I had such a great time with her during the Paella! Great conversations, girls talks, but also more serious stuff, loughs....We also got a great aussie-CD from her as a gift the day we were leaving!I truly hope to meet her again soon!!!

Mandie is a great guest to have and I can highly recommend her as guest. Very polite, funny and we also had very good conversations. I have to warn you - trust her when she says there should be clumps in the egg - flower - mixture for the quiche.... It tasted great. Still had some leftovers the day after as we made a great dinner....
She is always welcome back at any time.

While travelling in Poland we almost met, our trips led us both to Vince's Paella Festival in Gossau. The day after Mandie surfed my couch and enjoyed some Swiss wine. Next time we'll try an Australian one for sure.
