Please bring your own food, and anything special you want to drink. You will have full access to the kitchen, it has everything you need. I try to keep my home very neat and organized and request that you respect this. Since I am providing you with your own room and bathroom, try to keep most of your belongings there. I don't care if your areas are messy, just leave them as clean as you found them. You may use my washing machine and computer, and my free WI FI connection

# SOME IMPORTANT NOTES FOR MY GUESTS #

#0. PAY ATTENTION - I SMOKE AT HOME.
#1. COUCH REQUEST - There is NOTHING I enjoy more than hosting members of this community!! That said, requests that come from empty profiles, requests that do not begin with MY NAME, and requests that are clearly a cut and paste of a bulk email will be answered with a response that I AM UNAVAILABLE. I will answer the same to all members who will have the percentage of "CouchSurf requests replied" less then 80%I DO NOT HOST PEOPLE WHO CONSIDER CS PURELY AS A FREE ALTERNATIVE TO HOTEL/HOSTELS. In your Couchsurf request, please mention the word "EFFEMERIDI". It may happen that I will accept last minute requests (I don't like to hear that people sleep in the railway station :)) but in general I prefer to know in advance that you are coming and when exactly and if you ask me for a couch, please be so kind to confirm or to cancel it immediately when you are sure about your plans. If you are sending me a request for you and for your friends, PLEASE, tell me about the AGE, GENDER and some other informations about he/she.
#2. RELAX - I really like to host people so don't be stressed when you are here, don't bother yourself with thinking all the time that you would disturb me or anything like that. I lived in many different places with many different people and I had already some guests here so I'm really used to that. Just enjoy your stay. The couch is in a separate bedroom with a double bed.
#3. PLAN - I prefer when you tell me what are your plans for your stay before arrival, so I can prepare myself according to that, there is a difference if you want to do a lot of site-seeing or you want to visit some specific place or you need to rest after hard long distance trip or you want to party the whole night.
#4. FACILITIES - I've got some blankets and things in case you don't bring any sleeping bag with you. And towels and everything so actually you can come even with your toothbrush only :). There is a washing machine here and there is a WIFI internet access.
#5. EMPTY PROFILE - Like everybody I prefer to host people with comments and proper informations in their profiles. But often I host also new members with no comments yet, myself I travelled as a new member with no comments, so do not hesitate to contact me, perhaps I will accept your request. Also if you don't need a couch, but just some info or company for a party or whatever, ask. I'm addicted to helping people and I have many friends here and in Milano (and in whole Europe actually) who would help too - and this is what CS is about - not only accommodation but also mutual help everywhere. :)
#6. LOCATION - I live just very near to city center (about 3 km far from "Duomo square". Underground is just 100 meters far from my house. Central station is 10 minutes far or 3 underground stop.
#7. REFERENCES - According to CS guidelinee I ask that you leave a reference to me (Positive, Neutral, Negative... doesn't matter (it depend how you felt at my place and with me) BUT LEAVE ME A REFERENCE! Here are the CS guidelines on how to write a reference.
#8. VOUCHES - The vouching system on CouchSurfing.com is a security measure. I take it VERY SERIOUSLY and I have many VOUCHES. This mean that a lot of people considere me as TRUSTWORTHY one. If, after staying at my place, you think the same about me i will be GLAD to receive a vouch from you, BUT, this WILL NOT mean that i will give automatically my vouch to you.

Personal Description

WE ARE GROWING UP FASTLY: 600.000 members!

I love LIFE!
I love CS!
I love hosting PEOPLE with every fiber of my being. I have more passion than almost anyone you will meet. The only problem that I have with couchsurfing, is that I keep falling in love with other CSurfers. Not in a sexual sort of way, just in a "W W A A A W P" (WOW What An Amazing And Wonderful Person). I want to spend 10 more hours with him/her sort of way. And then, in a day, or a week, they are out of my life BUT FOREVER in MY MIND, in MY SOUL, in MY HEART.

Moved from Taormina (sicily) when i was 18 y old for university in Trento (sociology) and after in Milano where i live from about 25 years.

I work as "Information security manager" in a public company.

I really LOVE to photograph (on my web sites

picasaweb.google.com/My.Digital.Identity there are a lot of photos made by me), to write (some short novels) and to cook.

I live alone and I love to travel. Since I can't do it as often as I would like (even if, from feb 2007 till now, i had 12 trips in Europe) it's great to meet travellers in my house and talk and exchange ideas and views on many things!

One Amazing Thing I've Seen or Done

1) I had touched my friend's pregnant belly and "felt" the baby moving inside
2) I spent one night in "lavezzi island" (Sardinia) on sailing boat. I was lay-down in the night on the top of the boat and i saw one thousand million's stars in the sky
3) I heard the "really" silence in the sahara desert
4) In Sicily (where i was born) i went to ski on Etna Vulcano and, in the same day, after ski i went to diving to the sea.

I love to host people in my house NOT cause i need the same but JUST for the pleasure to share all that i have with my CS-Guests.

Showing amazing hospitality, Maurizio immediately offered me a place to stay as I asked him for a ride from Gossau to Milan. This way I not only got to hang out with him at paella but also stayed with him directly after that. He is an extremely enthusiastic CSer and I enjoyed my stay at his place very much - also thanks to the fantastic "couch", which was actually a damn comfy bed. :-)
I got the feeling Mau might be slightly disorganized due to the fact that he only found out a couple of hours before our flight was due that he could not join me after all.. ;-) But at least he kept his word and came to visit me at my parents' place a week later. A pleasure to host (showing how of children he is he immediately bonded with my little niece), but beware - he'll make you stop at least a zillion times so he can take pictures from all possible angles. ;-)

As everybody seemed to arrive that day, ha ha. And I just loved that CS button you gave me, I will treasure it for ever.

He is very seriuos about CS, he has hostet 230 guest over 15 months. I am impressed!!!!!!!I am sad that you was sick when you stayed, but happy that you where sick among friends when it first had to happend. You bet I will see you one day in Milano! I didnt know about him before the Paella but was impressed of the statistic on the attendees he created online. How is possible that I had written so few words about Mau?? I'm a stupid guy. He deserves a milion of word to can describe him. He's not only one of the greatest couchsurfers that I ever known, he's one of the best persons that I've known ever. He has a hug heart.
