ABOUT ME

We are Naz and Oz - a nomadic couple who are hop-scotching around the world, following our hearts to turn dreams into reality. Being rebels with passion, we believe in a radically new social order and have faith that a different and more humane scheme of things is very much possible. It is our deepest desire to contribute in one way or other in the creation of a better present for humankind. We are devoted to the promotion of human welfare and advancement of social reforms, especially through creative forms. We are currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Naz
I am a visual artist who believes in magic, obsessed with travelling and dislike norms. I love going to new places, experiencing new cultures and above all, meeting and talking to people along the way. I write poems and reflections. I draw and paint – mostly with acrylics, oil pastels, coloured pencils, ink pen and markers. I enjoy crafting things with my hands. I love rain and smell of the earth after a heavy rain. Water calms me down and I love sitting at the beach, staring at the wide ocean and listening to the sound of the waves. I love watching people and peeking my nose into people’s house to catch a tiny glimpse of their lives. Working and exchanging knowledge, skills and experiences with people is always a passion.

Oz
I want to share the faces, the feelings and the realities of human issue through my lens. I am addicted to observing life up-close : every character, every situation, every sound and every details around me. Studying life unconsciously has become a habit and capturing moments is and will always be a passion. I believe this fascination has led me to be who I am today. I refused to just exist – I want to live and to be doing something for the world and I believe in bringing about change through creativity. I love traveling, exploring hidden places and making friends as I walk around new town and hanging about in the train. I enjoy trying different kind foods and learning about new cultures. The smell of rain, sound of birds in the morning and watching the sunset makes me happy. I breathe on music and I love dancing.

I refused to just exist – I want to live and to be doing something for the world and I believe in bringing about change through creativity. I have worked on several Documentaries, Travel Videos, Experimental Videos, Promotional and Corporate Projects, alongside commercial project including Business Videos, Ads, Promos etc...

My recent work includes Displaced – An Award winning documentary on Street Kids, and a series of videos for Association Development of Pakistan which are exhibited in London, Australia, Pakistan, Malaysia and Indonesia ..

I am Currently working on several Projects including A Feature Length Documentary “Safar Dar Watan” – The Journey Within and Shattered - A Short piece on Human Rights... to mention a few.

I am in pursuit to develop a life of a digital nomad, A Hopscotcher, with my partner in life... Being rebels with passion, we believe in a radically new social order and have faith that a different and more humane scheme of things is very much possible. Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are nomadic, therefore we do not have a place of our own. However, we would love to meet up with other surfers wherever we go and exchange experiences and/or skills. Of cos, when we are in Pakistan or Malaysia - we would be more than happy to take people around interesting places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are roughly new to CouchSurfing but in general have hosted many people, friends of friends and have taken them around Karachi and other parts of Pakistan as well as Malaysia. We love hosting whenever we can :)

For us, every moments are amazing. To wake every morning and experience life are awesome. To be able to love the way we want to live is a privilege that we are always grateful for.

Oz
I have gone to the mountains during earth quakes.. gone to islands which stays under water for 8 months, have spend nights on mangrooves.. camped all over Pakistan.. Traveled on foot, bus and every thing that moves.. and swam when i didnt know how to swim.
