I was very active in CS from 2007-2012 when I was a CS country ambassador to Bulgaria. I've hosted over 100 guests through CS in Sofia and have been a guest in more than 40 cities. Since 2012 I moved back to the US where I studied neurophysiology and vision science at the University of Rochester (PhD) and then became a software engineer at a company in Boston, focusing on applications in science and engineering. But my identity never really left the Balkans.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I'm not as active as I used to be on CS. I'd like to experience it again. I'm a very independent, low-maintenance guest and appreciate the people I meet in CS--many of whom have become long lasting friends. Music, Movies, and Books
Music, movie, and book preferences change frequently. I like movies that make you think for a few days. I read mostly non-fiction, science, math, and philosophy - I like books that go deeper than surface level.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Ask me about that time I was locked in someone's basement or about the monkeys.

If an Atom were enlarged to the size of a football stadium the nucleus would only be the size of a pea while the first electron cloud would circle the stadium. This means that more than 99% of an atom is empty space. It's nothing. Everything is made up of atoms. So everything is more than 99% nothing. Everything is mostly nothing (or at least non-physical). So what's the big deal in allowing yourself to talk about "mind" being a non-physical part of the brain? Are not the holes in swiss cheese separate but connected to the cheese itself? This is something I change my opinion on regularly.
My Interests
Most people who know me know that I'll talk about Bulgaria any chance I get.
