ABOUT ME

First, I dont know all about myself. What I do know is that I am outgoing and enjoy learning and trying new things, traveling, reading, listening to music (I'm very eccletic but would consider Jeff Buckley as my Elvis), photography, cinema, trekking and cycling. I enjoy quiet evenings on the sofa and crazy nights out.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe we are always stronger than we imagined and that the first 3 seconds count for a lot more than we know.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've used the hospitality club in Russia: I slept on the floor next to 8 people - tetris style - in Moscow and on a sofa in St Petersburg during the white nights - didn't sleep much, I loved it. I surfed in Thailand, Norway, Lisbon, Austria, U.S., Belgium and Turkey.

Música, películas y libros

My favorite writer is Boris Vian. I adore comics. I have a strange tradition of buying a book from a native in every country I visit. I enjoy fiction mostly, but also theater, poetry, essays, biographies... I loved Marguerita and the master, heartsnatcher, Mafalda, 100 years of solitude, Siddhartha, A widow for one year, his dark materials, tsubaki, the amazing adventures of kavalier & clay, moby dick,death and the penguin, hobbit, sweet soul music, the mistress' daughter, hitchhicker's guide to the galaxy, love in time of cholera, little prince , etc yeah, I like to read...

I'm eccletic but Jeff Buckley is my Elvis; I enjoy classical music (Tchaikovsky being my favorite), rock music (from Nirvana to Queen, from White Stripes to Skunk Anansie) to jazz (Nina Simone, Diana Krall, Nat king, Ray Charles) to Punk (Gogol Bordello, Flogging Molly) to the classics.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I was awed by nature tons of time and by man's work a couple of times like at the Taj Mahal and St Peters' palace. I drove on a froven lake in Estonia, it was very thrilling for a girl from a small island next to Africa.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I can cook Portuguese food and mix in a bit from other cuisines. I can teach languages, literature, culture, socio-politics, sport, comic history and culture. I am currently learning to play the drums. I am interested in photography though I have never taken a course. If you know something I have never heard of I will be curious to hear it or see it.
