Why I'm on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Thus far, I have had the delight of hosting groups of CouchSurfers on two different occasions. Three from Finland for a weekend. I showed them around the city, we shared many drinks, and all of us learned more about our respective cities and cultures. More recently I hosted four surfers from France who needed a place to stay in Chicago on the first leg of an epic transcontinental road trip. They were an absolute delight to host. I have also surfed in two different households, one in Wyoming and one in California, on a friend and mine's trip across the Western US. Both were great experiences and I look forward to more surfing in the future!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Sitting to delicious nightly dinners thousands of miles away from home in Fes, Morocco with a family I barely knew and could hardly communicate with but who extended to me such care and warmth as to make me feel like an important part of their family.
