I am a foodie and can tell you where to eat in Durham. I cook and bake. I travel the world with my husband. I read. I watch documentaries. I run and do push-ups. I'm tidy. I ask a lot of questions. Greg and I tend to be the first both for hosts and guests and as such we are particularly mindful of making a good first impression for those new to couchsurfing. We chanced upon the couchsurfing collective while they were in Homer AK and had the opportunity to surf at ground zero the summer of 2008.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love how easily it allows us to meet locals, learn the stuff about a place that the travel magazines don't write about. And, well, it's free.
Music, Movies, and Books
Alternative rock music, documentaries about travel and other cultures, non-fiction, NPR in the mornings.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
In 2006 I tour cycled the country on my own (Blue Ridge Pkwy/Rocky Mountains/Pacific Coast Hwy)
My Interests
Traveling. And then writing about traveling. I'm one of the rare few that actually wants to see your vacation slide-show and hear all about your travels. I will ask a lot of questions. Cooking. A lot of cooking. Reading magazines - travel, cooking, home decor, entertainment. Running. Usually just for morning exercise, but also a race here and there for charity or a challenge.
