CIS HET, all-tolerant, but not here for dating. I don't brag with clichés like "speaking several languages" or "citizen of the world". My resumé speaks for itself. I try not to waste words, but it's easy to get me to speak: offer some 'food for thought' or ask me a question and we'll talk each others' ears off. I'm probably the youngest 50+ you've ever met. I have several jobs and many interests. My favorite is teaching "Clinical Empathy" at the Medical Faculty. It doesn't pay very well, but I have the feeling I'm doing something good. Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Have hosted plenty of people, all OK, some better than others :) As a guest I try to leave no physical footprints; only pleasant metaphysical ones. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Quite possibly the best thing that's ever happened to the internet, at least for travellers.
Music, Movies, and Books
Lots of books. Favorite authors Calvino, Archer, Faulkner, Vonnegut, and Lawrence Block. There's always music on at my place. Constantly. Movies: the ones that keep us guessing: Memento, Usual Suspects, or heart-touchers like Shawshank, Incendies (1+1=1!), My Life as a Dog, My name is Khan. Also courtroom dramas, psychointrigue, mockumentaries, parodies like The Incredibles and This is Spinal Tap.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Zazen meditation is probably the best thing I know how to do. Many months of backpacking before the days of CS, or even internet!
