CURRENT MISSION living musically ABOUT ME i'm interested in almost everything. after an all-too-long and dark hiatus, i'm back to playing/writing music... i laugh a lot, i need constant stimulation, and i only eat and sleep when it won't interfere with a good time. i plan on sailing around the world someday soon, but for the time being, i'm trying to build a life in Colorado that will be an extension and embodiment of creativity and intelligence, and in the spirit of mischief and adventure.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
i think my month alone in venezuela is the high point. no money, no spanish (at the time), nowhere to go for safety... surviving on wit alone before the second foot was off of the plane. i wound up living in a shantytown, where despite being well below my personal threshold of poverty (which means 'hungry but no money' in the states), i was rich in comparison, and i knew it, because i always know that i have someone to call if i i'm in too deep to survive. yet no one would let me buy my own food, or treat them to anything in return for their hospitality. when i left, walking through the mud, i was treated to a fanfare of presents (some of which were later robbed from me at gunpoint in argentina) and goodbyes. i left on a sailboat, and that night, on the deck of the boat, i completely lost all control of my emotions as i reflected on the previous month.
