We have little space but just enough for one or two guests to stay. And we´d love to have you here, so read on if you´re interested in surfing our couch! :) LOCATION:
Our home is in Kerava. It is a small town nicely located by the railway and with a train you can reach the center of Helsinki in 20 mins. So if you want to do a daytrip to Helsinki it´s very easy. :) Our house is located very centrally but in a nice quiet area only 5 mins walk from the train station and 5 mins from the center of town.
THE HOUSE AND THE "COUCH":
I live in this house with my boyfriend Joni. We live on the second floor in an apartment building in a very nice area with parks and nature very near. We live in a studio apartment, it´s rather small and unfortunately guests can´t have their own room but I´m sure with the right attitude we can all fit in perfectly. We have two armchairs for tiny sleepers or we could arrange space on the floor. We can borrow camping mattresses and sleeping bags for our guests. For sports you can borrow my bike (unless I´m going to school which means I need it myself) or my Nordic walking -sticks. No smoking inside the house please, just outside the front door is a spot for smokers.
TRANSPORTATION:
Buses to Helsinki go from the road right in front of our house but I often take the train because trainstation is only 5 mins walk from our home and trains are faster and run more frequently than buses.
WHAT'S HERE TO SEE/DO:
Tuusulanjärvi -lake area is interesting with pretty scenery and nice old buildings and museums of famous Finnish writers/composers etc. In Kerava there´s an art museum, also a museum of the history of Kerava. And on top there´s always Helsinki and all the sights there just 20min train ride from Kerava.

Personal DescriptionI´m back in school to study Tourism. It´s a big change after spending a year more or less travelling and doing my own things that I like. But it´s a welcomed change anyway because I want to learn new stuff and one day work on the field of tourism myself.
Right now I´m only dreaming of travelling since I´m studyin (somewhat) hard. But while I´m stuck here in Finland I love to help and host people who are travelling here.
I love to watch movies and listen to good music. I always wanna learn new languages, on the top of my list is Spanish. Some of my "old lady" -hobbies are Nordic walking and cross stitching, it's a well-kept secret though. Damn I just posted it on the internet!
I love travelling and anything that has to do with it. Nowadays I don´t even travel without staying with local CS´ers because it´s the best way to get to know to the country, culture and language and not only eat and sightsee. :D
My idea of a perfect evening is reading a book and drinking tea and burn some candles. I used to be a party person but not anymore, now I live quiet life. I really like spending time with my friends and my boyfriend, also I´ve made many cool new friends while travelling through CS and I want to make more.
When I'm in Finland I live with my boyfriend so you're welcome to our home. Or contact me if you want to meet me in Helsinki because it's pretty close to where I live. :)
I'm just living my life, learning from mistakes, making many friends along the way. :D

Movies: I love to watch movies, any movies. I've seen some of my favourite ones for about 100 times. Moulin Rouge, Sin City, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lord of the Rings, Ocean's eleven, The sweetest thing, Love Actually, Playing by heart, Eurotrip, Crossroads, Scary Movie 2, Cruel Intentions, etc.
Books: I love to read and disappear to that world of books. I read anything that I find interesting, if I only have time. A great combination in a book is love, history and fantasy. Some of my favourite writers are Margit Sandemo and Neil Gaiman, Maeve Binchy, Tuija Lehtinen...
Types of People I enjoyI rather like people who are nice, genuine, respective, positive, adventurous, enjoyable company, who have humour, know how to have fun and who love their lives! :D And I especially enjoy people who don´t go funny when I ask to borrow their washing machine.Teach, Learn, ShareCan teach:
I can teach positive thinking. :) Ha ha! That's my expertise.. I could teach any languages that I know well enough to teach. :) What else, well if you think of anything I'm good at and might be able to teach it to someone, please let me know! ;)
Want to learn: I wanna learn all languages, especially Spanish is very close to my heart. But I'm very interested in all languages, teach me yours. And what besides languages, history, culture, play guitar and practise yoga, how random? :) I want to learn about life and good way to do that is travelling using CS, because it's a way to met so many people that you can learn something from. :)One Amazing Thing I've Seen or Done1.
