About Me

Hi, I’m Saurav—part global citizen, part curious soul.
Originally from India, I now split my time between London, Shanghai, and New Delhi—three cities that keep my life both chaotic and beautifully full. Thanks to my work and a bit of luck, I have homes in all three places and love hosting interesting travelers whenever I can.

I’ve been fortunate to travel across much of the world (my fridge is basically a museum of magnets), and the best part has always been the people I’ve met. I enjoy deep conversations, spontaneous plans, local experiences, and sharing the little things that make each city come alive.

I’m vegetarian, endlessly curious, and someone who believes that laughter, connection, and kindness can turn strangers into lifelong friends. I’m not always super active on this app (work can be demanding), but I do check in and respond when I can—especially if you’re planning a visit to London.

Just a note: I don’t usually offer a place to stay to someone I haven’t gotten to know a little first. For me, Couchsurfing is about genuine connection, not just free accommodation. If we vibe and it feels right, I’m happy to host—but I value trust and mutual respect above all.

Who knows—maybe we’ll share a story, a walk, or a cup of tea with a view… and a memory that lasts much longer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe travel is about more than just places—it’s about people. Meeting locals, sharing stories, learning new perspectives, and making friends around the world is what truly enriches any journey.

I love opening my home (and heart) to travelers who are curious and kind, and in return, I get to learn from their experiences and cultures. For me, Couchsurfing is a way to create real connections that last longer than a trip—and sometimes, even a lifetime.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a wide range of music—from soothing acoustic tunes to energetic world beats. I’m always open to discovering new artists, so feel free to share your favorites!

When it comes to books, I’m drawn to travel stories, philosophy, and a bit of fiction that makes me think or laugh.

As for movies, I appreciate anything from thoughtful dramas to light-hearted comedies and documentaries about culture and history.

I love exchanging recommendations and hearing what inspires others—it’s one of the best ways to connect across cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

that I put efforts of meeting you to tell you my story :

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I can share insights about Indian culture, vegetarian cooking, and tips on traveling in India, the UK, and China. I’m also happy to help with English language practice or share some basics of Hindi.

Learn:
I’m eager to learn about your culture, language, and local traditions. I’m always curious about new perspectives on life, travel tips, and anything unique about your part of the world.

Share:
I enjoy exchanging stories, music, and recipes from different countries. I’m happy to share travel experiences, book or movie recommendations, and meaningful conversations that open up new ways of thinking.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share veggie food. I love sharing stories from my travels and my transition from Indian culture to british culture, whether it’s through conversation, photos, or even cooking a traditional vegetarian meal. I’m happy to help out around the house and bring a positive, curious energy to our time together.

I’m also open to exchanging travel tips, learning about your city, and making a genuine connection that goes beyond just a stay. For me, hosting and staying are about mutual respect, shared experiences, and friendship.
