ABOUT ME

i'd really rather network, stay with, host, WOMEN and fellow QUEERS. this is where my solidarity and trust lie. If you are a guy, please explain to me why i would want to meet you.
in any case, no sexist, macho, trans/lesbo/homophobic, racist behavior or remark tolerated!

getting sedentary at the moment. my days are busy with dancing, writing, and being a feminist and queer activist. oh, and hanging around in my bed with my cats.

PHILOSOPHY

i try and make myself a better being, so that people can gain something from me. i try not to be responsible for or involved in any domination or any damage/harm caused to another being (from work to pollution).Parce que "changer l'monde commence par se changer soi-meme..."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i usually enjoy hosting people with whom i will have something to share, a way of living, politics, art, etc. i'd much rather host women, lesbians, dykes, trans people and all sorts of freaks, who, like me, generally have a hard time finding spaces where we feel safe.

BUT... i have been hosted, saved, last minute, by people who had no particular interest in meeting me, just to help me, and i want you to have the same feeling about CS. so if there is no other couch, mine's probably here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i've been a hospitalityclub member since 2006 (same nick), and then joined CS mostly to keep in touch with fellow travelers. Now I'm sad CS is for profit, and impatient to see the new HC website coming soon...

I've hosted and surfed, and hosted and surfed...

couches sometimes end up being double beds with private bathrooms, sometimes just a piece of floor with friendly dog hairs. couchsurfers sometimes are random nice and polite people, sometimes close-friends-to-be. couchsurfing may sometimes be just the helpful cheapest option, sometimes the best experience i get from a country. any way, that is my lifestyle.

lentil and mint sauce dips. seeing a true smile on your face. cooking for hours while drinking red wine. watching you be amazingly skilled in relating with strangers from other cultures. taking naps under pine trees. thinking and practicing feminism, queer activism, hitchhiking, freeganism, and more generally, living against dominations and consumption.

is it flaubert who said "anything can be really interesting, if only you look at it long enough"? give me any movie or music you love, explain to me why. i ll soon appreciate it. as for books, if there are words in there, in a language i understand, you can leave me on the side of the road with it, and i won't notice you're gone before i've finished it.
