About Me
CURRENT MISSION:
To reconnect with the beauty of simple living, grow deeper roots, and welcome meaningful connections into my life, whether through shared meals, moonlight talks, or cultural exchange. I’m rebuilding, re-centering, and staying open to the kindness of strangers who may become lifelong friends.
ABOUT ME:
Hi! I’m a joyful soul with a suitcase full of stories, a heart for adventure, and a deep love for people and culture.
Born in Cambodia and raised in the U.S., I’ve lived across the globe from the Middle East to Southeast Asia and each place has shaped who I am. I’m passionate about meaningful connection, shared meals, late-night talks under the stars, and learning how others see the world (and the moon 🌙).
I believe in kindness, respect, and leaving every space a little better than I found it. Whether I'm cooking a shared meal, helping in the garden, or simply sharing stories over tea, I try to bring warmth and curiosity wherever I go.
My long-term dream is to help vulnerable children in Cambodia gain access to education while living part-time in the U.S. For now, I’m embracing each stop along the journey. Looking forward to meeting kind souls and exchanging culture, laughter, and maybe a new recipe or two.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe life is a journey of planting seeds of kindness, love, and purpose wherever we go.
We’re here not just to survive, but to grow, to give, and to gather beauty from every corner of the world. People matter. Stories matter. And healing matters, whether it’s through soil, soul, or shared laughter over a simple meal.
I believe in resilience with softness, dreaming with roots, and giving without losing yourself.
The moon shines the same everywhere, but every heart sees it a little differently and I want to know what you see.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe the best way to experience a place is through the people who live there. Couchsurfing gives me a chance to connect with locals, share stories, and build friendships across cultures. I love learning about different ways of life, exchanging ideas, and offering a helping hand where I can. Whether it's cooking a meal together, exploring hidden gems, or just sharing meaningful conversation, I'm here to grow through genuine human connection.
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I use Couchsurfing to connect with kind, respectful souls whether I’m offering a safe place to stay, sharing a warm meal, or learning about someone’s culture and journey. I’m here for real connection, mutual kindness, and creating moments that feel like home, even far from home. Sometimes I host, sometimes I travel, and sometimes I just meet up for good conversation or a walk under the stars.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
CS felt more personal and community-driven when I was living in the UAE. Things feel a bit different here, but I believe that with the right energy, real connections are still possible. I'm here to share stories, build trust, and create those meaningful experiences again, one person, one moment at a time.
Interests
Gardening, cooking, cultural exchange, meaningful conversations, faith, helping children, preserving food, soulful travel, moon gazing, storytelling, and quiet moments of connection.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love anything that moves the soul or tells a deeper story. My music taste is diverse sometimes peaceful and reflective, sometimes full of rhythm and energy, especially music from different cultures. I enjoy books that inspire growth, healing, faith, or purpose. When it comes to movies, I’m all in for stories with heart but I also love a good action film that gets your adrenaline going! Whether it’s a deep drama, a wild chase, or something quirky and fun, I enjoy watching with good company and snacks.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Life is short and we often forget what we've accomplished when life gets us in a rut. Here's a reminder for myself when I have those moments.
-I backpacked around the world for 3 years. I learned and grew so much during my travels. Had such a great time. Met mother Teresa in Calutta and volunteered whenever I can.
-Discovering myself as an individual and as a woman
-Did a mission trip during the summer of 2005 with Irisglobal.org in Mozambique. THAT WAS AWESOME!! Mozambicans are amazing people! That was a spiritual growth for me! I was more blessed than the people I went to help!
-Traveling Australia and the outback.
-Taking a camper van across America with a Harley Davidson and my niece and nephew in tow.
-Camping in the middle of nowhere, hearing wolves howl while grown men run for cover. (I still giggle about it)
-Saving a friend from a black widow spider.
-Trekking the 2nd highest mountain in Oman, Jabel Ahkdar.
-Hiking Wadi Shab, Wadi Bini Khalid.
-Putting 3000km on my car on a 4 day weekend with a surfboard in tow. We managed to surf, camp, visit hot springs, forts and ruins, hiked more wadis, got lost, but discovered the kindness of locals.
-Long weekend drives, picking up hitch hikers, spending hours on end at a restaurant savoring one dish at a time with a good read.
-Living in UAE and having easy access to travels nearby. (living here has opened my eyes to the Middle Eastern cultures greatly.)
-Working for a company that allowed me to work one on one with royal family members.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak English and Khmer, and I’m certified in HUET and PADI diving. I love to cook, especially when it involves pickling, fermenting, or making homemade jerky. I enjoy learning traditional skills, connecting over food, and sharing life experiences. I'm always happy to exchange knowledge, try something new, and learn from others along the way.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I travel with respect, gratitude, and a willingness to contribute. I’m happy to cook a meal, help around the house or garden, or share stories over tea. I can offer good company, cultural exchange, and a calm, considerate presence. If you’re into it, I’d love to share some pickling or fermenting tips or just make you laugh with stories from my travels. I believe in leaving places (and people) better than I found them.
