TIPS FOR YOUR HOST :
- HAVE A REACHABLE CELLPHONE NUMBER IS ALWAYS BETTER
- BRING some BOOZE to break the ice.
- a good guest should always connect with his host (which means i am not a hostel and dont plan to open one soon)and miscommunication kills me.
- a good guest should wait for his host to fart before doing it!!
- a clever guest would cook for his host !! sharing your receipes is a good way to connect (follow my lead)!!
- If you are from quebec or canada, bring me THE AMAZING ALCOHOL SORTILEGE!! i am now full of maple syrup...
- FOOD IS NOT FREE NEITHER ARE PHONE CALLS EXCEPT SPECIFIC DESTINATIONS (home line+cells usa and canada are free + all europeans home line)
Of course, some of these are pure fantasies, but well just to let you know that if you dont have some humour you wont really appreciate your time!! but i seriously doubt that you will get bored!!

Personal Description
ALL COUCH REQUEST NOT DONE VIA THE COUCHSURF WITH BUTTON WONT BE ANSWERED
I joined thanks to someone i met back in the days that knew that the couchsurfing would fit me 110% and that actually happen to such an extent that i still do feel blessed for what i have experienced since day 1.
For me hosting was also a good way to speak english and keep up a level i worked hard to get when i was studying in the UK for my B.A in European Business.
Of course, i did get much more on a personal development by hosting than i could have imagine, getting deep into someone's culture, never ending talks that last all night long, chilling out moments on the balcony enjoying wine, surfing even it.. and so much..
my first name is Antoine and I have been working for my Dad's company since September 2003 as a sales area manager dealing with retail chains.
Means also that i get loads of Japanese foods as samples and love to play with them in the kitchen.
You will see later on in my profile different kind of activities i embraced. Among them skydiving is a big one and i have enclosed two links of jumps taken in june 2006.
I have also started editing videos of the biggest events on couchsurfing that i have attended along with my best friends from Paris. You will have most of them too as blue links in the interests section.
How I Participate in CS2Locally speaking, here in paris we have manage to build an already nice group of hosts that are now my friends.
Helping new member is also a key function and an everyday job for me !

InterestsExtreme Sports : Skydiving, bungee jumping..etc
I have enclosed here two jumps that i made before i could actually fly...when i was doing the formation that would led me to jump alone after all !
My Accelerated Freefall Formation(AFF) :
Another AFF Jump: the one they released me
Sorry i dont have the other jumps on video !
for the fun of it :
another skydiving video
I have a wide array of interests i supposed as i am quite curious about a lot of things and subjects. i really like to know more about cultural insights of a country comparing to one another.. get to speak about how you would see the future from your perspective.. always fun to imagine what it could be..
I have visited also a lot of museums all over the world thanks to my parents and would like to go around any exhibitions near where i surf from time to time.
other hobbies : chess, video editing

Thats why i dont host couchsurfers for less than 3 nights and actually i had sascha for more than 5 weeks all in all.
I enjoy the communication type, i love the man i became and i really want to share those life experience with as many as possible.
About the references left :
leaving a reference (or creating the friend link) for your host should be the strict minimum and if i do mention it here, you can be sure i have my reasons. a lot of my guests never actually took the time to do so and its really something that hurts my feelings.
Music, Movies, BooksI am not much the book eater kind of guy but would die for the next book that would hold me for hours straight until i would finish it up.. like harry potter. okay i am kidding.
Movies : Dropzone, pointbreak (well especially the last one really gave me the virus). I m quite a big fan of non intellectual movies (kinda action movie when basically you just know who will be losing it big). One movie that left me quite surprised was the sixth sense... nothing really came close since that one.
Music : i am definitely interested by any sounds close from hip-hop; rap underground; old rocks and legends associated dead or live kicking, world music and certainly interested in trying different ambiances.
what i dont like as music is metal, hard rock etc..
Types of People I enjoywow tough questions you might think and by checking other answers i am pretty sure its hard not to fall in many clichés.
I am really attracted by people who have experienced a lot of different situations, that know basically where they are heading too, daywalker dreamers, intellectual geek with great sensitivity, fearless "wa*#ker",positive lullabies, optimistic and shining kind of spirits.. the list is for sure non exhaustive but basically i am not everyone's friend!!
Teach, Learn, ShareTEACH:
- not really like this term as i am not the best person to transmit knowledges but i do it anyway through passion. my love for something i like is the best transmitter!
LEARN:
- open your eyes to the world. most of it would be to learn languages.
- more extreme receipes (besides being an advanced cook in italian cuisine i d love to improve in so many others fields)
SHARE:
my passion for skydiving !!
One Amazing Thing I've Seen or DoneI jumped from a perfect airplane the first time back in october 1999 knowing that i had the biggest party the day before!!
Developping the Couch Invasion Agency
Opinion on the CouchSurfing.com ProjectI have always been up for some good in this world and couchsurfing is helping me refocusing my effort every day to help people out there, learning about cultures, exploring my true self, searching answers and solutions to the matters that affects us all right now and will affect us in the future as well. By being together i believe we can change this world one couch at a time!!

From Mark Dillavou Birmingham, United States Nov 26 Positive Antoine was a great host while I in Paris. He gave us some great local tips and an excellent walking tour through Paris. I felt like he gave me a much more authenticate experience then I would have gotten elsewhere.
From DIVER82 Paris, France Nov 25 Positive Well I feel quite lucky to have met Antoine for my first CS meeting. I had chance to get his advices about the CS communauty. He's definitely a pleasant person and an easy-talker, which help a lot! :-)
From Alex Rouse Canberra, Australia Nov 20 Positive Antoine was awesome with his last minute lifesaving skills, had a great week sightseeing and enjoying his enviable movie collection, hope we can meet up again for sure. I Wish you many happy dives!
From Pauline Mayeur Paris, France Nov 16 Positive antoine is a very nice and very pleasant person and every time it's really a pleasure for me to meet him in quizz! He is very patient too because i was too clumsy the first evening where we were introduced and i let my glas on him! but he forgave me and since this time he is my teacher in couch surfing because he has a great experience like host.
From Pierre GANDON Paris, France Nov 16 Positive We met while the 2nd French Ambassador Meeting in Nantes. Reunions, talks, and... drinks!
Ready to film? haha
From Rachel and Matt Paris, France Nov 3 Positive Thanks for everything Antoine. I'm really glad we got to know you after hearing so much about you from Remi. I know that you don't need it, but you can always come and surf our couch now that we have a place, even if it's just for fun! haha. Thanks also for introducing us to the Paris CS events. I know we'll be seeing you again.
From Sarah Angello Vienna, Austria Nov 3 Positive I had a great time! We were stranded in Paris and Antonin responded to a SOS message...he knows how to surf, how to party and how to drink homemade liquor!!
From Jean-Luc FAYE Bourg-la-Reine, France Oct 23 Positive I met Antoine months ago and we have been seeing each others from time to time @ the CS Quizz.
Since the quizz moved to its new location, we had time to speak more and got to know slowly better. I love the guy and he is very cool and funny. We share common passion for diving him in the sky and me with my scuba tanks. And my little finger tell me that soon or later we will find a way to combine the two. ;-)
From Tommy Quist Leiden, Netherlands Oct 14 Positive Antoine was an awesome host, who took me in at the last moment and made me welcome right away. He fed me aswell, and kicked everyone's ass at pool!
From VIVIEN P Paris, France Oct 10 Positive What leads Antoine life ? The only way to find is to try, and then let the fun and the crazy of this person contaminate you with the fun.
What I want to do with Antoine before the end of the year : we should try some kind of impro cook party ; I promise I will be part of next the next "komando invasion" ; prepare a human-aqua-splash-bowling for a cs-event next summer.
From Dominique Brunet Chelmsford, Canada Oct 6 Positive It was awesome, had a really good time. Set the trip off on a good foot and ended on an even better one. Thanks.
From Livy Real Lyon, France Oct 5 Positive Antoine is incredible! He has in his cellphone memory all public phone numbers from his neighbourhood... If you are lost, he can find you anywhere! I hope see u again! =D
From Rita Schroeck Goerlitz, Germany Oct 4 Positive Antoine hosted me and my boyfriend for three nights although he was coming late at night from his non-stop birthday party weekend in Berlin. What a pity that there was not enough time to get to knwo him really and make party with this talkative and funny "fou fou" (hopefully its not an affront). If you want to know how the couch surfing heart beats: update your profile, press the request button and taje some nutella and you will have a great time in Paris!
p.s. I´m really sorry for waking you up in the middle of the night to leave Chelles!
From Vanessa Paris, France Oct 2 Positive Superyami is a very nice guy. We went to iceskating in Boulogne with friends, and he is a great parachute man!!
From Massimo Bennardo Pistoia, Italy Sep 29 Positive Of course Antoine came to Florence and HE organized a gathering to meet the CS community...typical attitude of those who's heart and soul beats to the rhythm of hospitality and knowing new people.

From Nicole Kumbischinski Berlin, Germany Sep 15 Positive Antoine is a great guy! Funny, talkactive, full of energy! After his birthday party in Bar25 in Berlin they went to sleep for 3h and then went on to Panorama bar - means when I met him the next day for brunch he was a little tired...But we had fun although!!Blue skies Antoine!!!
From Andrew Klein Thessaloniki, Greece Sep 3 Positive I met Antoine in a park in Munich, and, although our meeting was short (I wish it were longer), I enjoyed our conversation about chess. Playing with poi was great! I hope to see him again.
From Yela Martynovskaya Sacramento, United States Aug 28 Positive I met Antoan (haha don't know correct spelling but should work) we both stayed at Tiziano's place. I had a blast exploring Venice with him, we got lost a few times, crossed literally every bridge there (well at least it seemed that way), and chased pigeons on St. Marco's square. Antoan is fun, full of energy and really, he never stops talking while awake. It was so nice meeting you Superyami!!
From Roberto Moranti Sant'Elpidio a Mare, Italy Aug 28 Positive Blue Sky, Antoine!!Reat this reference with Borat accent...
I liked Hosted Antoine. Even if I couldnt be his tourist guide, cause he used to visit my area from 4.ooo metres high, for me, my sister, my relatives and my dogs, was a very nice experience spend a couple of days with him on earth. You will be here everytime the plane with the tiger will fly on my head!!
Antoine let me discover the aeroclub fermano and the power that lasagna has on me :)
Whenever you want to taste again the italian sky, you have friends here waiting for you.
From FREEEXPLORER Ancona, Italy Aug 28 Positive Nice to have met him, even if i had to surf my flatmate's bedroom! funny guy, with a level of english really much higher than mine, like a motherlanguage. When i'll be in Paris someday i'll cook for you a french dish, that's a promise.
From Kari Leigh Florence, Italy Aug 27 Positive Antoine has the most energy in the room and lucky for the CouchSurfing community, he's happy to spend it on us. What would the organization do without support and contribution such as Antoine's? He is inspiration and momentum. Life is meant to be LIVED, we are reminded.
From Giampaolo Tai Florence, Italy Aug 27 Positive HAHAHA!!! This guy is a natural born Vulcano!!!
We partied together for a night in Firenze, drinking, talking and driving aroud in search of his "stollen" car: I simply had the hell of a time!!!
The day I'll jump out of a plane, I wouldn't be suprised to find Antoine flying and laughing in the air with a bottle of beer in his hand!!!
Ciao bello and see you soon around!!!
From NORAIDA Arnhem, Netherlands Aug 27 Positive antoine saved our life when we stranded in paris on our hitch hiking trip to spain. he offered us a shelter that was way better than what we could have ever imagined! a great dinner, belgium beer and a nice enthousiastic and talkative french guy where waiting for us - two tired and hungry girls. he even convinced us to stay one more night and provided us with everything that is necessary to see most of paris in one day ;) just great, really! thanks a lot! we reached spain by the way :)
From Sabrina F. Sant'Elpidio a Mare, Italy Aug 27 Positive No booze needed to break the ice with Antoine! He's so funny and crazy that you can't help kidding all the time since the 1st moment you met him!
Antoine,it was a great pleasure to have you at our place and see you flying at our sky!
La prochaine fois on va faire une compétition avc tiramisù..pas avec lasagne parce que tu gagnerais sans aucun doute..gnam gnam!!
From Roberto Sbrolla Fermo, Italy Aug 26 Positive I met him just few moment for a pizza meeting in Porto Sant'Elpidio (Italy) during a CS local meeting. Unfortunately there wasn't an Italian Tiramisù in the restaurant :-) I hope your trip in Marche was OK anyway. See you next time Fly Man!
From ALEVIX Florence, Italy Aug 24 Positive Intelligent, energetic, honest, talkative are the best words to describe the impression I had about Antoine.Although I caused him barely an heart attack when I thought his car was been stolen (and fortunately it was just that I was drunk without drinking :-),he was always concerned about fitting our plans and we had a very good time together. The final party was the right ending to a very good experience.
Hope to see you in Paris, Antoine, Ciao e a presto
From SERENDIPITOUS Schaijk, Netherlands Aug 16 Positive I first met Antoine at the collective in Eisenstadt. From the start, I felt connected with him on a higher level. He is the most genuine, sincere, funny, caring individual I have met in a long time. He was constantly making everyone laugh, camera close at hand. Once again we met at Vinces Paella party in Gossau Switzerland. Once more I immediately fell in love with this guy. BEWARE! the ever present camera. Every awkward/embarassing moment will be recorded. He is always up for a bribe though. Good beer and good whiskey make the best bribes ;) Turn about is fair play. I cant wait to see you again. The beer fridge is too tempting.
From Frederic Pointeau Saint-Denis, Reunion Aug 8 Positive When 2 guys from Angers get together! Met the 1st time in the big Cassoulet meeting in Paris. When I met him again, he promptly accomodated me while other people were already surfing, giving to me another CS visiting cards. Well-settled close to Paris, he has completely integrated CS in his daily life then don't hesitate to contact him for any concern... See you at the next collective? ;-)
From Darren Ladbury Lowestoft, United Kingdom Aug 3 Positive Even though we have never met. I am pleased that Antoine was on Couchsurfing. He helped me look for my bike which I left in Paris Airport.
Thanks Antoine!
From on_the_moon Paris, France Jul 23 Positive Well, what can I say about Antoine aka Superyami? He's simply an amazing person, and in many ways (think first of his involvement as an ambassador, traveler and superactive host!!).
Constantly moving (with his videocamera on, of course!), talking & joking & laughing :-), he still manages to be a very good listener, which not every loud guy can do :-D, making him a true pleasure to have around!
After meeting him only once and among a bunch of other CSers ;-), it would be stupid to consider knowing him very personnally - but what I saw of him was nothing but GREAT!
Very much looking forward for upcoming encounters!!
From Brice de Nice Fontenay-sous-Bois, France Jul 17 Positive The first time I've seen Antoine was at the New Year's Eve where he has drunk not only soft drinks;) The following times, I have discovered a really different and a really nice man, talkative, dynamic, full of humour and taking initiatives (he don't do things half way). A particular stroke of his personality is that he understands people at 100% not only because of his english language abilities, but he connects quickly to their personality. I think it's not given to everybody to be like that. Is he genetically modified I didn't check but for sure he is a great great CS to meet, so what are you waiting for?!
From Cari Laythorpe Southampton, United Kingdom Jul 16 Positive Antoine makes me smile and laugh and all the other things that come naturally - like eat, drink and be merry!
From JO_LILLA Vasteras, Sweden Jul 15 Positive He caught me in the act! heheheh!;-)
From Ulf Kleinings Cologne, Germany Jul 14 Positive Paddington Remy
Antoine is a skydiver and I guess it’s because of this high adrenaline hobby that he’s so incredibly calm on everything else. I’ve never seen him getting upset – yet alone really angry – about any mishap or other irritating events. It’s like he’s simply expecting such annoyances anyhow and all the more happy he is if things do turn out well (a grey sky on a CS picnic meeting turning blue, finding a parking space {for free!!!} in Paris really quickly…). When I met him for the first time at the Collective in Eisenstadt he with his hat on immediately reminded me of Paddington Bear (no – it’s NOT Gilligan!) and they both have this super calm and friendly approach to life and everybody. He also reminded me of Remy, the Belgium soldier friend of young Indy (Indiana Jones). Not only because of the outward similarities and his similar accent but also because of this way to not let himself get worked up. This makes him of course the perfect host – as I had the pleasure to experience myself when I came to the CS/HC meeting in Paris he organized to celebrate his birthday with about 30 people… Let’s be honest – even if we try to be not to: we CS’er can be a bit stressful at times. But that doesn't challenge Antoine at all! Patiently he waits for you to handle the chaos in your bag pack and offers a hand where it’s needed. The he takes you out “partying the French way” or what it might take to make your stay in Paris a real great time to remember. And then when you’re happy that seems to make him happy, too! I for my part am looking am always happy meeting him again!
From Jakob Sternbach Milano, Italy Jul 12 Positive The official video until now until he met a man with a bigger "one" (i mean the video camera obviously hehe), filming everything and everyone at the Paella. I was in short contact with him by email and I am happy that I finally met him person - when will be next time???
From Rafael Nussbaum Bern, Switzerland Jul 11 Positive When I saw him at the Paella, it normally was the lens first. but behind the camcorder was a decent and really fun guy. Was nice to meet you
*up-date*
again for paella edition 08: Nice to have him around, really adds to the spirit
*up-date again*
In Vienna I really got to know the person behind the name and found a really interesting person you feel at ease talking about whatever. Teasing, joking and fooling around, serious talks, everything is in with this great guy. Will meet you again, dont' worry :-D
From Promitheus Norwich, United Kingdom Jul 10 Positive The time has come to meet Antoine for a second time and gosh... it was already two years since Vienna... Mate - we've got to do those come togethers a little more often right?
From BRIE Munich, Germany Jul 8 Positive I'll let Antoine be my friend even if he doesn't remember meeting me at the CS Paella in 2007 (where we spoke only very briefly) and quickly beat me at 3 games of chess. I can't say much about the "yami", but I can certainly attest to the "super": Super friendly, super active, super dedicated, super crazy, super fun, super smart and super videographer! Thanks so much for your hard work!
From Maurizio Mangano Milano, Italy Jul 8 Positive SUPERYAMI?? So nice guy.. Unluckly i didn't spent a lot of time during the light festival. I hope to meet him again somewhere and have more time to know him much better.
Tks for all..
PS: i will send you the video i made and i would like to see your.
UPDATE july '08:
I met Antoine for the second time @ Cs Paella '08 and i felt in love with thsi great, sarcastic, funny & loveable friend!
From Rodolfo Gomes Caracas, Venezuela Jul 8 Positive Antoine is an awesome guy. He's always willing to help others and a great conversation and party partner. He made an exception just to save my ass when I didn't have a place to stay in Paris. You can learn a lot from him. I'm eternally thankful for your hospitality! Hope you come one day to Madrid to return the favor. And thanks for the tips on using the CS website!
From Charity Sills Los Angeles, United States Jul 6 Positive Antoine is a wonderful, kind, funny and fascinating human being. He made my trip to Paris ( and first trip to europe) SO AMAZING. I felt so safe and comfortable and we became friends right away. He is very open and easy to talk to . I hope to know antoine for a long, long time. I will be forever grateful for this experience. He went out of his way for me in many ways and I am so, so honored to have chosen such a wonderful person as the host and to have been accepted as the surfer. Miss you Antoine!! Say Bonjour to le chat for me! ( The neighbors cat he doesn't have one).
From Kijung Lee Seoul, South Korea Jul 6 Positive Even though you didn't call my name correctly and I didn't understand your tactful humor well, I had really great time in Paris. Inviting picnic, greeen guide, nutella(I miss nutella!), crepe, an amazing experience of underground Paris, last dinner and Julu source! I really appreciated that you gave me everything more than attractions of Paris. Dive into Korea!!
From AMINA AHOURRI Paris, France Jun 29 Positive Superyami is really crazy overall when he is drunk. I have to spend more time with him to be as mad as him !!! More seriously he gave me the opportunity to add cs to my life and meet the Paris group.
From Yotam Katznelson Qiryat Tiv'on, Israel Jun 26 Positive Antoine invited me to join him and several friends of him to explore the underground network of the Parisian Catacombs, which was the funnest (I think I invented a word) thing I've done in Paris. Lovely man, very dedicated to the CS world and concept. Thank you very much for the invitation :)
From Fabrice Della Negra Le Port-Marly, France Jun 25 Positive After have met Antoine in a couple of meetings, after have drank a couple of beers and shared lots of laughs with him (I even learned to enjoy his humour! :D ) I just have to say I'm always glad to see him again.
A very nice guy for sure, always happy to share his many stories about CS and he has so many!
See you very soon, Antoine!
