ABOUT ME

I am thrilled every day to have been married to a seriously cool woman for 36 years, we've raised five kids, the three oldest own businesses and the two youngest are in college.

We're pretty quiet folks these days, if you're looking for a party house this ain't it... but if you want to sit on the deck and grill some squash and corn, share some laughs and stories we may be more your speed!

I was injured while sailing in the Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club in '72, lost a leg in '99 and broke my neck in '02 so I mostly use a wheelchair though I hike on crutches.

I participate by hosting and surfing, by posting links on my web sites and publishing stories about couch surfing in my online magazine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done the youth hostel thing while traveling Europe and have both hosted and stayed with geocachers around the country whom I met online... CouchSurfing by any other name!

Intereses

Geocaching, ham radio, volunteerism... primarily as a Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Chaplain and Emergency Communications Amateur Radio Operator for disaster response.

The most amazing inspiring thing I have seen was The Rainbow Family saving the people of Waveland MS after Katrina. Hippies and rednecks changed each other in amazing ways.
