About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Closing The Sunshine Factory without losing the sun tan

ABOUT ME

My friend Tessa calls me "cheeky gipsy". My chinese sign is the aquatic pig. I don't exactly know what these two descriptions mean but I like them!
I lived in Oslo, Norway, for two years to work as a maritime engineer. I am working with shipyards and shipowners toward fuel efficiency, using for example big kites as sails.
I made my best friends in Oslo through the local couchsurfing network and I'm sharing dreams and big plans to get the best of this network to take our future in hand: Race to the green, Okobo. And of course play a hell lot of live music with my dear trumpet.
Last summer I went on an education quest across Scandinavia in order to make One Step Beyond!. Thanks to Couch surfing for the organization and coverage of the project!
This lead me to Iceland, in the stunning Westfjords, where I´ve been studying for one year. My icelandic university sent me to France for 6 months in Nantes, as an exchange student. And now since April 2011 I´m back to wonderful Norway. I am on an intense happiness schedule.
Welcome back home! A workshop to make dreams happen, like for example an open source sailing robot to sense and clean the oceans? This is what I´m busy with at the moment: opening an office for Protei in the Sunshine Factory!

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone has something to teach me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I cook, you wash the plates. I open the wine, we speak a lot.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted Michal and Maja from Poland, Sajeev from India and 2 of his friends from Iran and Vietnam at home. I also had the pleasure to host Divina Sunniva. Recently I hosted Rob the cowboy bebop.
In may I started to work in the evenings fixing a boat, and I received a great help from Marco from Mexico and Adrien who also stayed at my place.
I visited Myriam in Berlin, Jon in Tromso where I met Rafa and Zuzie whom I visited in London shortly after.
This summer was full of lovely encounters, Victor, Anja, Camille, Camilla ..then I lost track.
I love you all and I want more!

Interests

Rythm is Love. No don't stop the Carnival. Set the controls for the heat of the sun.

At this exact moment I'm listening to Brenna MacCrimmon and Baba Zula, I'm closing my eyes, and I'm travelling to Istanbul from my flying sofa.
Yesterday I projected on my wall Beetlejuice with my friend Anna Organikova and we felt like kids at the lunapark. YeeharryBelafonte!.
And now if you'll excuse me I'll go enjoying the sun outside!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not sure which one is most amazing between surfing a rafting boat down a big snow hill, being towed on a snowboard at 60km/h behind a car (and what a car!) or gliding down on my ass a huge ski jump? Maybe the most amazing is that all of this happened in the same week end and that I'm still alive! Thanks Jon, Thanks Tromso, Thanks the world!

Teach, Learn, Share

French. Music theory. Applied Mathematics (that's flying high!!). Cooking. Juggling (balls, diabolo, bolas, hacky sac).
I'm now learning the trumpet to play in a ska/jazz with a nice brass section (and obviously a funky bass. Trombone lessons are welcome as well!!
