About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Create, study and teach and perform flamenco.

ABOUT ME

Emma and Ben are flamenco dancer and guitarist, respectively. We also party and read books.

PHILOSOPHY

Emma and Ben believe in never putting up walls.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've hosted one person so far and stayed with one person in Madrid. Some friends we always stay with introduced us to the system.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Whenever Alban stays with us it's a great excuse for Emma to pretend not to be a teacher and stay up late with beer and pizza on a weeknight. :)

Interests

Flamenco and the worldwide flamenco community, classical music, running, reading in quiet serenity, writing poetry, reading poetry, coffee, discovering new music and artists, partying and rehearsing simultaneously, watching friends perform, learning something new, finding ways to take care of ourselves and each other without destroying the world around us...

Music, Movies, and Books

Modern American poets, 20th century Spanish poets, classics like Shakespeare and Cervantes, nonfiction in the form of history, philosophy, etc. Basically we read everything we can... from zines to Beowulf. Music is enjoyed almost constantly in our house. Be prepared to hear: Queen, Bach, Modest Mouse, Debussy, Juanes, Paco de Lucia, Estrella Morente, or Miles Davis... you never know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Everyday life can sometimes be amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can share our love of flamenco! We can share our love of literature, our love of movement and body health. We would love to learn about how to make things ourselves (with hammer and nails!!), and how to cook better.

Countries I’ve Visited

Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Finland, France, Mexico, Morocco, Portugal

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Spain, United States
