Miri is a Couch Surfing rock star! She is the CS'er at every event who helps break the ice and gets every one introduced and talking. She is always planning the next big CS event.

Miri hosted me when I came to L.A. in October 2008. Originally, I planned to stay only one night in L.A. and to continue quickly to San Francisco. Miri persuaded me to add another night and to let her show me more of the city. Without her, I would have missed most of what I saw in this short amount of time. Miri invested a lot of time to explain things and drive me around. Miri, thanks a lot! Daniel

Miri is a nice person. We hung out for a while at Venice beach and then at the Artwalk. Though she couldn't stay out long coz it was a work week, hope to catch up with her another time..

Miriam is a nice CSr, a wonderful person and a crazy driver. We've met at CS Base Camp for CS Cares, did a Road Trip from San Francisco to LA and I've surfed her couch. Great time together

Miri and I met the first time on Venice Beach by surprise, just one day before she hosted me. We and three other CSs had a lot of fun at the muscles beach playground where I discovered that i have no muscles in my arms :). I had so much fun With her, even though we didn't get each others jokes.

Miri is an obviously on-top-of-it organizer, which I love, though I find it kinda funny her lexical knowledge of couchsurfing. (Miri, I do love learning more, though....!)

Ok, back to 'third person cool' (though she is sitting in my living room right now) - um.... oh yea... so Miri is dedicated to the very cool "Couchsurfing Cares" program for displaced peoples (especially because of natural disasters, etc) and I must say, what better person than her! Miri, I haven't said it out loud yet, but I just love you for that!

Miri is a girl that I had a hard time getting along with, but that was not her fault. She is a very caring person and an awesome cook. I wish you all the best with the CS cares project!

Miri has a huge heart and takes care of everyone. She's currently working on CS Cares, which is an amazing program to help folks who have been displaced by war or disaster...incredible!

Miri invited the Arizona Group over to the EOS Bonfire Event and we took up the offer and drove over. Miri was helpful in finding a place even though we did not end up needing it. So helpful and the event was coordinated very well. We are so glad that we got the chance to meet and come over from Phoenix. Miri you are great. See you at one of our events!

Excellent job in hosting the LA Bonfire. It was a great time and an awesome turnout and I commend Miri for all of her efforts & coordination. Looking forward to getting to know one another more at future CS events.

She's the spirit couchsurfing. Always organising gathering, ready to help and giving informations. She showed us the downtown during a whole afternoon with Adrien in the car having a new teeth and I can assure u that you need to be courageous to support that!!

She organized a great social networking event. The information was clear and the directions were good. She had a very welcoming demeanor and excellent attitude. I felt included upon arrival. She is quite knowledgeable about couch surfing and disseminated this information expertly.

Miri is supercool, she has a very good knowledge of the CS structure, knows many member and really represents the CS spirit. She is very open and friendly and totally knows how to approach people. Its been great chatting with you & i hope we ll meet again.

Miri had a lot of good cooking tips that I will be using for some time to come. She is very proud of her heritage which I like about her. She also lives in the Valley- my old stompin' ground!

We only spent a little time with Miri but the time we had was nice. She was sweet and I enjoyed hearing about her work with the CS Collective. Have fun down there!

Miri is smart which makes her a lot of fun to hang out with. Not afraid to speak her mind or desire to go off the beaten path she has a very infectious energy that it fun to be around.

That being said, I still get a kick out of meeting someone not just with my name but that we spell it the same and rather go by the abbreviated form;-D

Update! I know at this point a lot of you have read of all the great things Miri K. did for them... plus a bit of my own stuff above still I gotta add...

For my LA trip, Miri, gathered the LA CSers for a Glatt Kosher Dinner:-) so I can meet them, then gave me a place to crash while she was still packing for her Alaskan adventure, joined me a Shabbot Dinner at the MARULATREE's, danced ourselves silly at Bootie all the while driving me where I needed to be. She was one of the key people that made my LA trip awesome!

Through her actions Miri always shows she cares. Again thanks so much and I'm sure we'll see each other agian.

She is sooo invested into all things couchsurfing, plus she is so friendly. I have such respect for her passion. :)

AAAhhhh dedicated CSer indeed! Miri is just an abundance of good energy and is committed to enhancing all of our CSing experiences. I met Miri at a CS picnic that she helped to organized. She is a great person, a very dedicated and experienced a couchsurfing member, and very helpful. If you are in the LA area, I'd really recommend meeting up with Miri or attending one of her gatherings.

i first met miri a little while back at a super show.. then we had drinks and mexican food with the hippies in topanga :D hehe.. she's really friendly and talkative! very welcoming and of course knows everything there is to know about CS ;) good fun, plus we are neighbors, so i'm sure i'll be seeing her more soon! woot :D

Miri was nice enough to show us around hollywood after a BBQ on a lazy sunday afternoon... the catch: i was driving. haha :) Crazy americans, they may drive on the RIGHT side of the road but they drive on the WRONG side of the car! It was interesting for sure. Thanks for showing us around and to that great hidden coffee shop.

She zipped me around L.A. in her nifty little Prius, and was great company at the Ethiopian dinner!

Miri is wonderful - she showed me around the Galilee area and we also got to crash a mamouna party!

Miri is a very fun to be with, smart, talkative (in a positive way). She's half Israeli and half American so you can relate to both in her. She's very vivid, honest and reliable.

Miri lived in Israel for a while and taught me some Hebrew. I'd be lying if I said I could remember it but that's hardly the point. She's great craic and goes out of herr way to show hospitality. I suppose they don't just give out those ambassador titles to anyone

Miri is funny, interesting and fun to hang out with. We danced together to Darfurian music in Tel Aviv.

Miri is very friendly, making instant connection and very interesting to talk to- she is interested in many things and knowledgeable about them. Also, very easy going and willing to search together fun things to do.

Miri likes to connect with people. She stayed with me for a night and then took my other couchsurfer with her to California. She is intense, energetic, and really embodies a traveler's ethos.

Miri is a great ambassador for couchsurfing. This was the first time we hosted through couchsurfing and Miri made it a wonderful experience. She is welcome here anytime.

We spent a wonderful evening connecting over beers and social work shoptalk. Miri was a delightful guest! Considerate and has an infectious passion for treveling and connecting. What a wonderful ambassador for couchsurfing!

I didn't get to talk to Miri too much beyond the first night, but I had a very positive experience with her for the brief time she was here. Miri is an interesting person to talk to and has had a lot of experience with CS and seems to be a very dedicated and active member of the CS community.

i met mirki at the amazing cyril party in NY! she's very kind and so excited about the CS experience!! a very good example 4 me, beeing new one in the group :D

What can I not say about Miri. For one this newest Los Angeles ambassador has a heart of gold and is genuine about the project and helping out others both on and off CS. Never a dull person in conversation. Miri knows a lot. She is someone I definitely trust. Los Angeles is lucky to have her as I do not know what we would do without her. Oh yeah, even though she knows I am a gentile who knows a lot about Judaism by goyum standards, she teaches me the correct pronunciation of all things Judaic.

Miri is, just as she claims, obsessed with CS. She is very kind and offered insights into the network's inner workings. Also she bought me a delicious paella, for which I will be eternally grateful.

I met Miri at karaoke in Koreatown in Los Angeles. Miri knows how to rock! We had a lot of fun! She is a very sweet person, very friendly, and knows how to have a great time. I totally recommend getting to know her!

Miri was my first couchsurfing guest. She gave me a great introduction to the world of CS. I had a lot of fun introducing her to "small town" New Orleans and doing the St. Patricks day craziness. Miri's a super easy going, friendly guest. She also helped me start looking for hosts in Europe. She is what couchsurfing is all about.

Miri is THE most dedicated ambassador I've met and by no means is that an exaggeration! There are lots of ambs out there who don't pull their weight, but this gal should be recognized for her contributions to the CS project. We met on several occasions while I was living in Los Angeles; an easy-going gal who is very sharp, knowledgable and always has something to contribute. She has also given me advice when I had trouble with other surfers and is a very honest individual. I hope that more ambs out there can see what a great model she is!

Miri was a fun couchsurfer, and you could tell her heart is really into the couchsurfing community! I had fun getting to know her! Next time she should stay a little longer.

Her calm relaxing demeanor is contagious. She is the type of person who will truly stop and enjoy the view, sounds, smells and ambiance of nature. I hope some of it rubbed off on me for good!

she partly organized the wonderful cs anza-borrego camping trip. I did not get a chance to spend much time with her, but the interactions we had were great. Hope to get to know her better at another cs event.

Miri was one of the organizers of my 2nd CS experience ~ a camping trip to Anza Borrego. She took care of the details (I would have gotten lost without her excellent directions). We didn't spend much time together, as she ws taking care of an emergency that happened with one of our campers, but what little time we spent was nice & she seems very interesting. Lots of knowlege and insight. She seems very focused on the CS experience and humanity as a whole. I look forward to meeting her again and hanging out.

Miri did a great job helping organize the Anza-Borrego camping trip. She is very well-traveled and well-cultured and truly has much wisdom to share.

Miri was a great guest and very independent. It was a shame that I worked the 2 nights she was here. But we did get to spend some time together at a CS lunch meet and for breakfast her last morning. She is very talkative with some great stories. She is socialable and goes out of her way to meet people and make them feel comfortable.

Miri is a very nice person, generous and great to talk to. We actually learned quite a lot about the social system in the US and got some useful couchsurfing tips. Thanks for everything, Miri!

It was so nice to meet and chat with Miri in San Francisco. She knows a lot about travel, art and people so I really enjoyed talking with her. I'll be visiting Southern California a few times this year so I'm sure we'll meet again...

Miri was a delight to have with our group. Just from the few hours she was with us...eating dinner and getting soaking wet at the chinese new year parade....i can tell that she will make a wonderful tour guide and host. She seems like someone who never forget a detail....surely you'll be in good hands:)

She definitly put a lot of positive energy so that Karaoke was a blast and could have been an everlasting night!!! I love it. Easy to feel confortable and chat with.

Miri was exceptionally generous. She developed a customized Google Maps itinerary for my trip around LA which was based on my interests in culture and architecture. She had me follow her on the highway to give me directions. She involved me in couchsurfing events in LA that were exceptionally fun. She was patient and understanding when my plans changed. She was very, very knowledgeable. And she had some great Karaoke chutzpah to boot!

My first contact with the LA CS crew ! We attended the survival skills workshop together. see you at camping weekend in anza-borrego ! and remember: no lighters or ropes allowed ;-)

honestly, how often does such a genius come along? haha. ask her anything and chances are she'll know the answer while simeltaneously enjoying an ethiopian dish with you. She also helps you out beyond whatever would be expected. sit back, chow down, and enjoy the ride when MIRI's drivin :)

Miri is always ready to meet people, whatever it is through going to the restaurant, going to a artwalk... Even if unfortunately we didn't get the chance to talk a lot, I know for sure that Miri is definitely one of the most active CSers in L.A. and will do her best to meet you if you let her know that you're around, whether you're a traveler or a local !

Miri drove from LA to attend the Palm Springs Wine & Cheese Night and then stayed at my place. I was impressed that Miri was able to speak about a broad variety of topics without sounding like she was faking any of it. Miri is a well-cultured individual!

It was a pleasure to meet Miri and to host her. She was a very thoughtful, respectful guest. She made me dinner one night and read to me from the New York Times on Sunday morning while I was baking. It was really fun-like having a temporary roommate that you really like :) Come back any time Miri!

I went on a camping trip with her to Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon. She cares about people, even her job is all about helping people. She was self sufficient, packing what she needed and not relying on anyone else to cook, clean-up etc. after her. We got along good.

Miri is a great host and a wonderfull guide! In a very short time she shared her knowledge of the area and the social system and at the same time showed me all kinds of wow LA-sights.

Miri is very passionate about environmental issues and doesn't hide it. She seems to be a gracious hostess and it's worth the effort to trek out and check out her hood.

Miri kind and caring and up for road trips and meetings with other couchsurfers. Met her at the LA Bonfire.We were there early and she was helping out with all the planning and set up.
