Such a sweet heart! I met Rachel at the Berkley Collective before I started my bike trip down south for the winter. She was such a gem, busy working but very kind all the same. Shared a few meals and a few drinks later that week and couldn't ask for much more! A lovely lady to have met and hopefully see again the Costa Rica Collective!

Rachel is very lively and vivacious! A solid head on her shoulders I was very impressed to see how much she is doing for the organization! It was a pleasure meeting her, seeing her smile and laugh are sights that can bring joy to nearly anybody! Good luck and keep up the hard work, maybe see you in Costa Rica!

I met the rachel for lunch, she showed me around CS Base Camp; we met a previous surfer I hosted who happened to live across the road (you couldn't be making this up!) in Hippie Heaven ... just some real nice time. Lovely woman.

Rachel was one of my roommates in Alaska. I enjoyed getting to know Rachel very much. She is a very sweet girl and after 3 months living in a house with her she feels like a sister to me!

When I first met Rach I was impressed by how friendly and welcoming she was. Later, I was impressed by how hard worker she is and her devotion to CS. Later, she impressed me again with her good spirit and the good times we shared at the Collective. After that, I was not impressed anymore: I understood she is a superb human being, one of this rare golden hearts and souls you find sometimes in your lifetime. I am happy to be friends with her and willing to meet her in the future.

I had the pleasure to give a massage to Rachel at the Collective in Homer and I saw in her a beautiful young woman… somewhat nervous, but for sure an easy-going person with a pronounced taste of enjoying life !

Rachel is one of those hundreds that you meet randomly, but are never quite gone from your heart (even if you get a replacement heart when your eighty.) After a year or so of working with her indirectly on Amb. forums she made collective experience and Chiang Mai travel experience the best I have ever had! She is passionate about all that she does, as well as sensitive and pragmatic, which not only make me say she is one of the coolest, supportive travel partners I have had, but one of the best friendship connections I have made in this Cs world where we nomads fly far and fast like monsoons or arctic winds. Well dear amazing women... I hope that our weather-patterns of cloudy random fun and long conversations run into each other again somewhere soon on the globe.... maybe the pacific northwest perhaps??! You always have a couch in my heart... and so much more.

Rachel is one of the hardest working volunteers for CouchSurfing I've met - not only did we work at the Thai Collective together for 2 months in 2008 but we also shared the same house for all that time. She'd work well into the early hours of the morning at the collective and has given so much to the cause. She's such fun to hang out with and has lots of entertaining stories of past collectives to tell as well as being the perfect housemate.

Rachel is a charming and gregarious person and a joy to be around.

Rachel is a really fun person to hang out with. She's interesting and funny and you always know what she's thinking because her brain is directly connected to her mouth with no filter in between, which makes her the best person to ask when you want to know if your new haircut looks good!

First met Rachel through Blue in the streets of NYC back in the day...ate some food, hung out a bit...short but sweet...plenty of chatroom banter back in the old chat days.....and most recently spent some time in Pai with some vicious dogs and fridge raiding...

Rachel is a ball of energy--always on the move, shaking things up to make them better, striving to find perfection in her volunteer work with CS.
I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to know her, and any CouchSurfer would be lucky to do the same. She's one of the primary players in this game of global awareness and she lives the mission.

Rachel is one of a kind. First impression, yeah, she talks a lot and is very active so you won't get bored for sure. I always compare her to the overactive happy squirrel of the movie "over the hedge" she also kinda does the same thing when she drinks energy drinks. But she is also very loving and caring and she was a super roommate in the Thailand collective. In the Karaoke bars she steals the show, while fishing she is calm and quite. The more I know her the more I love to be around here and its always a pleasant surprise find out a new side of her.

Rachel would be the sort of person that you might expect would invite you over to the apt she's subletting from a wood sculptor in Chelsea to pillage her collection of theatrical books and scripts for whatever you can carry with you because she's going to Thailand next month. Anyway, she is that sort of person. And by that, I mean that she's wonderfully unexpected, and somehow adds a touch of whimsy to any situation she happens to be in, be it with stickers, purple glasses, or bits of the French language strewn about conversation. You might also spot her at a screening of a movie musical uptown when least expected - she tends to pop in and out like that. May she pop into my life a little more often upon her return to the States.

It was so funny to talk to Rachel about our very special friend. The world is so small....

It's now been about a year since I first met Rachel and for most of the time she's been roaming the world away from New York (I approve of the roaming, but the abandoning NYC part has got to change) ;-) I've hosted her once, and spoken with her more and I can say without a doubt she's a passionate and caring individual. I hope to host her and see her many more times before she leaves New York again :-)

And for the short term she's my neighbor so hopefully for the next couple months we'll finally get to hang out a bit more. Survivor Man is on almost every day at my house :-)

Rachel is a dearheart. She takes everything in life seriously. She is also very generous with her time and energy. A fantastic person to share space with. But she's kinda like Helen Keller! :)

I only spent an evening with Rachel so far but it was fascinating to hear about the NZ collective and the ideas being developed. When talking about CS, Rachel just appeared 100% in her element.

Our path´s have crossed quite often but only online until now, i am really really grateful that she took the ride to come over to Lyndhurst to visit me in Jersey, that was super sweet.it was like you meet an old friend on the street like "hey how you doing sister" as i met her on the street, like old strength, like a common history, she is a one of kind lady, for sure - the need for a next meet is already there.

Rachel is a sweet, warm-hearted girl who seems delightfully care-free on the surface, but somehow manages to take her work for Couchsurfing very seriously. She is an actress at heart, with a curious habit of substituting the word "with" with the French translation, "avec." Rachel definitely lightens the mood in many social gatherings.

Rachel and I work on the safety team. Not only that, but sometimes we look like a married couple. 'Here, let me spank you', 'you can't eat with chopsticks, I'll get you a fork'...
She's got a big heart, a great feeling of right and wrong and she is very caring for her friends. Add a touch of drama and uncanning humor to it and you've got the great Rachel!

I've been mistaken a couple of times for Rachel when people we're entering the collective which was funny ;) Maybe it's because we look so similar in a certain way. We've made a ride together in the trunk of a car. We've spent time together talking on the front and back porch discussing about life and each time Rachel has given me precious advice. I can honestly say Rachel have a special place in my heart as a friend, a fellow liza minelli song singer, as a big smaller sister, as an english slang teacher and simply as someone who took the time to give me hugs and love each time I needed to. -xxxx- Don't forget I promised.

we exchanged a few lines, and yet she made a big impression on me, Rachel will be an interesting friendship to pursue so that hopefully one day we can really meet as 'old friends'. her enthusiasm was refreshing and listening to her stories was fun and interesting. she had just arrived to Los Angeles from lands far far away, and still was up to meet other CSrs.

I loved the quiet moments I had with Rachel sitting in front of our house enjoying the lovely night and talks. rachel is sensitive to what goes on around her aswell as what goes on inside - both mentally and spiritually. she finds herself well in every situation and can relate to most anyone. i'm very glad to have met her.
