Belfort est une ville de France, en Franche-Comté.
Situé entre Mulhouse et Besançon, Belfort est proche de l'Allemagne et de la Suisse
Belfort est une ville de 50 000 habitants, 100 000 dans l'aire urbaine.
En ce qui concerne la population CS, tu peux en trouver:

Venir à Belfort
en voiture:
- depuis Mulhouse: A36 (35mn) 2,60€ de péage (sinon prendre la D83)
- depuis Besançon: A36 (1h) 6,60€ de péage
- depuis Paris: prendre l'A5 puis la N19 (5h) 15,10€ de péage
en train:
- Mulhouse: 40mn
- Paris: 4h direct avec le Corail ou via Besançon en TGV
- Besançon: 1h
- Strasbourg: 2h
en avion:
- EuroAirport à Bâle/Basel, compter 1h de train ou de voiture ensuite. attention: il y a un sortie pour l'U.E. et une sortie pour la Suisse
à pied:
- chemin vers St Jacques de Compostelle: depuis Colmar, vers Besançon puis Cluny
en bateau:
- canal Rhin-Rhône jusque Montbéliard
Transports
à vélo
Belfort n'est pas une ville très grande et le vélo est un bon moyen pour se déplacer. Il faut cependant faire attention aux voitures qui ne sont pas très "attentifs" aux cyclistes.
en bus
La ville est dotée d'un réseau de bus OPTIMO. Les tickets ne sont pas vendu dans les bus, mais dans les bureaux de tabac. Il est possible d'acheter un ticket 10 trajet pour 10€ ou un ticket 24h pour 3€.

- Le Lion, sculpté par Bartholdi en 1872, il symbolise le courage des Belfortains qui ont su résister au siège de 1870-1871
- La citadelle et les remparts
- La vielle ville
- Le Malsaucy, sa base de loisir et sa base nautique
- Le Ballon d'Alsace, pour les randonnées, le ski...
- Les Eurockéennes, 3 jours de musiques sur la presqu'ile du Malsaucy. http://www.eurockeennes.fr/
- Le FIMU (Festival International de Musique Universitaire), la ville est envahie par des scènes et des concerts gratuits. Se déroule généralement le weekend de la pentecôte du samedi au lundi. http://www.fimu.com/
- Le marché aux puces, tous les premiers dimanches du mois de mars à décembre.
Meetings
Il n'y a pas vraiment de meeting régulier, mais lorsque l'un d'entre nous reçoit un CS, nous proposons souvent un apéro tous ensemble.
Il y a également des contacts fréquents avec les CS de Besançon et de Neuchâtel

Between Mulhouse and Besançon, Belfort is not very far from Germany and Switzerland

Getting to Belfort
by car:
- from Mulhouse: A36 (35mn) toll: 2.60€ (or take D83)
- from Besançon: A36 (1h) toll: 6.60€
- from Paris: A5 then N19 (5h) toll: 15.10€
by train:
- from Mulhouse: 40mn
- from Paris: 4h direct with the Corail or via Besançon in TGV
- from Besançon: 1h
- from Strasbourg: 2h
by plane:
- EuroAirport in Basel, 1h by train or voiture afterwards. Be careful: there are an exit for the E.U. and an other one for the Switzerland
by feet:

Transport
by bike
Belfort is quite a small city, so the bike is a good way to move in the city. But you must be careful of the cars, who are not very watchful people on bike.
en bus
There is a bus network called OPTIMO. The tickets are not sold inside the bus but you can buy them in tobacconist's. For 10€ you can have a 10 tickets or you can by a 24hours ticket 3€.
What to see, to do

- the FIMU (International Festival of University Music). Many free concert appear in the city. It's genarally during the weekend of the Pentecost from saturday to the Whit Monday. http://www.fimu.com/

Meetings
There is no regular meeting, but when one of us host a CS, we often try to meet for an "apéritif".
There are lots of connection with the CS from Besançon and Neuchâtel, with whom me make some meetings.
