Collective House Mediators

House Mediators

In the event of any conflict in the house, one of the house mediators should be the first port of call. There will normally be a male and a female mediator appointed, so approach whomever you feel most comfortable with.

The house mediators have been specifically selected for their approachable nature, their level headedness, and their willingness to approach each problem from a point of neutrality. You can take an issue to them and be sure they won't judge or take sides, they will do their best to help resolve the situation as amicably as possible.

The position is an ongoing position, and one that requires a very special person. If you feel you could fill the role, let the house coordinator know when a spot opens up, normally when one of the mediators leaves.

As of 20 March 2007, the mediators at the NZ Collective are:

  • Diane
  • Jim
  • Bill
