  • Railway transportation
Mersul trenurilor (The National Railway timetable)
Here you can check out the trains' routes, schedule, or costs.
!! If you don't speak Romanian, click on the small English flag from the upper right corner of the screen for the English version of the site.
!! You must use the Romanian name of the city (e.g. Bucuresti, not Bucharest).
!! Some cities have more than just one station. You'll probably travel to the one that has "Nord" (that is North) in its name. E.g. if you want to go to Bucharest, you first fill "Bucuresti" in the "To" box and click "Find". A new page loads, with Route options. Choose "Bucuresti Nord" from the "To" list, complete any other details that interest you (arrival or departure time etc.) and click "Search".
Sometimes the website doesn't work. Then you can find info about the trains by calling at:
0251-411620 (Craiova Railway Station Information Desk) or
0251-411634 (CFR Craiova Tickets Agency).
