'Frankfurt is a city in Germany. It's the financial center of continental europe, but is also a cultural center and a nice place to spend a few days. There are great museums, restaurants and bars, clubs, two operas (well, the Alte Oper is not strictly an opera anymore, but puts on all kinds of musical performances), etc. There are close to 200 couchsurfers as of Dec. 2006. Read more about the city at wikitravel [1]

Accommodation

Hostel

Riverbank
Main Train Station
In case you can't find a couch, there are some youth hostels: http://www.jugendherberge-frankfurt.de/ If that's full, there are some hostels / reasonably cheap hotels around the train station. Be careful, though, because it's right by the red light district and some of the places might be more of the rent by the hour variety.
