Sending Meeting Invitations

You can get easily a lot of people in your meeting with a small effort.

Contents

"Couch Search"

Start by locating the group of people you want to mail out to. Generally this active couchsurfers in a region.

  • Open Map surf

Go to http://www.couchsurfing.com/mapsurf.html

  • Select your region

Scroll to the bottom of the page in green: Location by selection Move from right to left narrowing the region you'd like to send to.

  • Select an area around the region

To the right of the "List Surfers on Next Page..." button, select a radius from the drop down menu. For most metropolitian cities, 40km/30miles is recommended.

  • List Surfers

When you click "List Surfers on Next Page..." you've just saved a search in your history. This, along with your last 10 searchs, will come up on the Send out Meeting Invitations page.

  • It is immoral and illegal to exclude based on race or gender

Refrain from including a single sex, age, etc. CS is an open community and normally (except for special reasons, such as a girls choir) the meetings are open to everyone and selection like just girls or nice boys are not in the CS spirit...

  • Do not spam

Remember also to choose just to the people who could be interested and do not spam the net, if you are making a meeting for 7 persons you would not send meeting invitations for 700 persons...
