Things to do in Nyköping

You will find a great number of restaurants, good shopping and a wide variety of culture and entertainment, all in close proximity.

Stroll along the High Street and visit art galleries and designer shops. Start the evening with a good dinner and go on to our nightclubs and cafes. Have an ice cream in the harbour, listen to the waves and relax.

Not far from town, you can climb rocks, paddle canoes, or watch sea eagles and seals on board one of the tourist boats. Bargain at auctions, relive life as a miner, or cycle along Näckrosleden with a well-filled picnic hamper!

Shopping

On the street Storgatan, stretching nearly one kilometre, are small designer boutiques and clothes shops alongside H&M and the grocery chain Ica. You can run across celebrities here like Filippa K, Philippe Starck and Kalles Kaviar.

During the summer, the harbour is alive with restaurants and handicraft shops along the embankment. Several shopping precincts are located at the southern and northern approaches to the city, which is practical for anyone going to the countryside or passing through by car.
