Maybe The Leadership Circle should think about using a Wiki for their announcements. I guess there are some differences in the main Ideas of Wiki and Leadership Circles. Or remove the line "From the CouchSurfing Wiki, an informal workspace which anyone can edit." Or allow only members of the Leadership Circle to become Sysops (Happy Spamfighting!). I'm not editing this page since there is this very clear message from a very leader (or at least I guess so since RedCouchGuy is just a nick on the wiki that might be leader just as BlueCouchGirl) (change is ONLY allowed on this page by members of the Leadership team) (see this diff http://wiki.couchsurfing.com/wiki/index.php?title=Leadership_Team&diff=prev&oldid=22061 ). Of course, HOW can I know that this page is editable only by leaders if this is not written in the page?!? Ah, the ironies of life. In fact I added the template {{official}} just to communicate this. A minimum of transparency about which pages are editable by whom is the minimum to keep up and living a wiki. And this is not my opinion but evidence from Wikipedia (which has millions of editors) ... but who am I to question the wisdom of a leader?!? ;-) --Phauly 04:35, 24 May 2007 (EDT)
