Te AnauThe statements and opinions on this page are solely those of its authors and do not necessarily represent the official position of CouchSurfing International.
The small township of Te Anau at the bottom south west of the country is a great prequel to some of the most dramatic and untouched regions of New Zealand. Fiordland is largely inaccessible, however Milford Sound is a tourist dream land. The road there is considered the most impressive in New Zealand, with a tunnel built through granite rocks in the 1850's and a boat trip on the sound leads a mystical imprint. AttractionsThe Te Anau glow worm caves. TipsBook accommodation early in summer. |
