Linking on the Wiki itself is easy, you just put square brackets [[ ]] around a word.

On the Wiki you can easily link to CouchSurfing using links like [[:cs:groups/brainstorm|the Brainstorm Group]], this will show up as the Brainstorm Group.

You can also add links to the Hitchwiki, using e.g. [[:hitch:Paris|Paris]], showing up as Paris.

These links are currently also working in some parts of the website, such as profile description and group description and messages.

Without the colon the link will show up in the left pane, not in the article text.

People

It has been possible to access user profiles with nice URLs for a long time. E.g. couchsurfing.com/chmac. It's probably better to use couchsurfing.com/people/chmac instead.

Groups

You can access groups with URLs like couchsurfing.com/groups/cockroach, but currently this is done by searching on keywords. So it might not always lead to the expected group.

You can also link to specific threads, e.g. couchsurfing.com/groups/cockroach/92080.

And finally, couchsurfing.com/groups does something useful as well.

Bugs

couchsurfing.com/bugs is just a redirect, but couchsurfing.com/bugs/1 works as well.

Wiki

Linking to the wiki is easier now, e.g. couchsurfing.com/wiki/Nice_URLs for this page. And of course, couchsurfing.com/wiki, works as expected.

Meetings

Same principle couchsurfing.com/meetings/1060.
