Do you speak English, French or Spanish and enjoy helping others learn?

I’m Moutasem, and I’m involved with Opinions Without Borders for Sustainable Development (OWB), a local nonprofit in Jerash. We’d love to connect with a volunteer for a short series of friendly language and cultural exchange sessions with local young people.

You could lead conversations, introduce useful everyday phrases, or share games, music and stories from your culture. You don’t need to be a native speaker, but you should speak your chosen language confidently. Teaching or facilitation experience is a plus!

What you can gain:

• Connections with local young people and community members.

• An opportunity to discover the local community and Jordanian culture through shared activities and conversations.

• Practical experience in language facilitation and cultural exchange.

• A certificate of volunteer experience issued by OWB after completing the agreed sessions.

Important: we do NOT provide accommodation. Please arrange your own accommodation. This is an independent volunteering opportunity, not an Erasmus+ placement.

Send us your availability and a simple proposal: which language you could share, your relevant experience, and how many sessions you’d like to offer. We’ll agree on the dates and a plan together before inviting interested young people in Jerash.

Hey,

I have a project where we gamify climate action and I'm tired of waiting on coders to do work so I want to learn! Javascript (not React), C#, C++, PHP and APIs are most welcome! If you have enough good references, you would be welcome to visit us in Jamaica to teach coding! Otherwise if you can't travel or just want to do something good for the environment, you can teach online and volunteer with us, we're registered so it can be an internship too!

If you like the project and we get along, you would be welcome to join if things go well! We wanna make it fun and effective to save the planet through gamification while also fighting for larger goals with the data we gather from our 'players' performing eco actions!

If you want to visit Jamaica we have some screening criteria but we can assist you with compensating your trip so it's guilt free through our tree planting partner. If you code, program, develop, like games, let's talk!
