Warum ich auf Couchsurfing bin
I am curious to meet people of various horizons and cultures. At this stage I have space to offer, hope to be on the receiving end some day. My ideal couchsurfers guests are: one person, coming for 3 days or more, and keen to hang out / visit the city with their host. If you are using couchsurfing.com because you want to save money and are not interested in interacting with your host, please do not send a request. Have been working in Manhattan for years, so I know many places, but I just moved here recently, so I want to discover more, hopefully with the fresh and enthusiastic eye of travelers who are discovering it for the first time :)

I am a big fan of Dan Ariely, the author of Predictably Irrational. I love books about behavior economics, popular psychology. Recently I have been reading a lot about feminism / anti-feminism and the future of gender equality. I am a big fan of French cinema, but over the last couple of years, I have been binge watching tons of TV shows - Breaking Bad / House of Cards / Suits / The Good Wife / Master of None / How I met your Mother / Desperate Housewives / The Office / Parks and Rec / Dexter / White Collar / The grinder / Orange is the new Black / Lost / Big Bang Theory / Hustle / Extras / Jonathan Creek / Shameless / Californication / New Girl.

- I represented my country at the International Maths Olympiad. And Physics too. - When I was a student, I accompanied the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs to a diplomatic visit to Morocco. - I went on a major French TV channel show to sing, at prime time.

I can teach French, juggling, piano jazz/pop improvisation, computer programming, mathematics I will give you lousy relationship advice but hey, aren't we all lousy at it?

Meine Interessen
I've been performing as pianist / singer, and am now learning the accordion. I am a big fan of strategy board games. I love endless discussions about the future of our society, relationships, gender equality, free speech, mathematical modelling of every day stuff.
