My first exprience with couchsurfing was while traveling in the US with some friends (though we didn't use my profile, that's why I have no references from that trip). This allowed us to meet some fascinating people and I fell in love with the concept, so I tried it again while traveling around Norway - it was just great, one of the best traveling experiences, and first time traveling alone. Currently I can't host anyone, but I'm up to meet new people - provided you're a little open-minded and NOT a sexist (or assuming that because we go for a drink it will become romantic afterwards - I DON'T like being trapped in this kind of dynamic).

I like to read and write, I'm interested in international affairs, development, music, theatre, movies, art, philosophy. I really enjoy live music, especially jazz, (but I don't play an instrument, to my biggest regret)...I love cultural journalism, documentaries and investigative stuff. Languages are also an important part of my life, and I would like to learn more of them !! I'm vegetarian (I do eat fish sometimes, when I'm a guest somewhere, or there is no other choice, or when I eat sushi... I am trying to stop that too though). Other interests : photography, dancing, good food, good wine, long talks, nature, hiking, cooperatives... Anyway, I don't limit my interests to what I have written in this box, so if you have any passions/convictions/adventures/stories to share, I will always be a good listener.
