I am from Germany and lived in Australia for over 8 years now, we have a room available in our share house, its simple and nothing fancy, but my landlord lives upstairs and he charges $25 a night for one person or $180 per week. We are located about 20 min walk to the lagoon or 10 min to the shopping center, so thats pretty handy. We might have a spare bike as well, my way of transport and to explore Cairns, the botanical gardens, dog park, .. yepp we got a mature dog who is sweet, .. so if ur keen to come and stay ur welcome.. just let me know the dates upfront/ last minute okay sometimes (min/max 3-4 days), so we can communicate with my landlord.. he is cool but yeah his house, his rules. I enjoy the company of like minded people and appreciate hospitality by showing a newbie around, enjoy dinners together, go diving, beach clean ups, gardening, play backgammon, relax, have a glass of wine and great conversations (no politics please)!
