New Orleans, Louisiana, United States
Couchsurfers, come to New Orleans for Haunted Halloween 2026. Creatures must converge for the creepiest couch crash ever! New Orleans is often called "America’s Most Haunted City," where more than 300 years of history linger around every corner. Voodoo, Marie Laveau, and the city’s eerie above-ground cemeteries have fueled cries for centuries. Countless tales of restless spirits add to its dark mystique. Anne Rice’s "Interview with the Vampire" only deepened New Orleans’ reputation as a place where the supernatural feels remarkably close to real. Revel in its vibrant nightlife and music-filled narrow streets—many still lit by gaslight. SUGGESTED COSTUME THEME: black & orange—from wild feral cats to whatever creature you can conjure. CALENDAR https://bit.ly/no-hh-calendar GET INVOLVED Help us fill in the calendar. Offer to host an event. Contact an organizer. NEED A HOST? WANT TO HOST? See calendar tabs CS group chat (link will go live crash week)

On Friday during the early afternoon, one of your choices is hanging out with me as I take you to my favorite bakery. Afterwards, we’ll go on a walking tour of the middle part of City Park that’s rarely seen by tourists.
We’ll visit a youth eco-farm and go examine the flora and fauna of a very swampy part of City Park. We’ll see some amazing birds and an alligator or two.
We’re trying to encourage folks to sign-up in advance for different activities. On Halloween night, we’ll have two different Halloween experiences. One will be a “Local’s Music Halloween” experience through the downtown neighborhoods of Bywater, Marigny and possibly St. Roch. Check out the link below!
