CURRENT MISSION To grow, learn, feel and meet wonderful people along the way; hopefully changing each others lives for the better. ABOUT ME A strange blend of urban minded freak-a-zoid and good 'ol boy from the boondocks, I was put on this Earth to bring tha flava. I enjoy everything from: hip-hop to harmonicas, fine art to fishin', and computers to cornfields. It's a strange duality, but it seems to work out ok. I have been working on a cruise ship for the past three years. I am the crew welfare officer and am responsible for planning parties, events, and all sorts of other things for the crew to do throughout their time on board. I have quite a few administrative duties as well that make me crazy; but overall it is a really great position. Best of all, it gives me two months vacation at a time to TRAVEL! I have sailed halfway around the world (twice), and have been to some truly wonderful places. However, I look forward to exploring more of the interior of different countries, and all the riches that they hold. PHILOSOPHY Life is grand, and not always pretty. However, whatever can be done to share and learn from one another benefits the whole. I would like to think of myself as a good person all around; and try to remain as positive as I can. Generally, as long as it doesn't hurt someone else, why not?

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I just found this site and I think it may be one of the finest uses of the internet I have ever witnessed. Since I do not currently have a place of residence (I gave it up when I started working on ships for the majority of the year), I do not have a couch for now. When I get settled back down, I hope to participate and host as much as possible. Until then, I am embarking on my first extensive backpacking trip of Europe in May/June 2008. Of course, I want to see the "big stuff", but I would love to meet like minded people to show me the inner workings of where they live. I am willing to pitch in and share in any way that I can, and am very respectful of others as a house guest. I'm really good at doing dishes!
Musique, films et livres
A. Lots of sci-fi and fantasy - especially Dune and all of its sequels, Douglas Adams, William Gibson, Keroauc, William Burroughs, Phillip K. Dick, HST, Neil Gaiman, Dean Koontz futurist philosophy, quantum physics, metaphysical and spiritual, forbidden archeology and general conspiracy, comic books, and all of the head-scratching things I find on the internet. I've been trying to branch out with the fiction and read more contemporary stuff lately as well as get in touch with authors that I know I should be reading like Chuck Palahniuk, Kurt Vonnegut, and other talented folk. B. You can prolly look at the aforementioned responses and gather that anything with spaceships, robots, aliens, or laser beams qualify. That's kind of my comfort food, if you will. I am also a fan of Steve Martin, animated films, the Office, Arrested Development, Darren Aronofsky, Stanley Kubrick, foreign film, period pieces, Star Wars, Star Trek, Children of Men, City of Lost Children, Pi, A Clockwork Orange, Snatch, Tarantino, Benny Hill, Monty Python, Dr Who, British comedy in general, war films, marital arts, and just about anything as long as it has some redeeming quality. I've got a soft spot for cheese that I don't usually own up to..This is tough as I watch alot of films, though there's always more that I haven't been able to get to yet! C. Music is the most important to me. I listen to all forms while my faves are in no particular order: experimental/underground hip-hop,house music, drum and bass, indie rock, jazz, world/ethnic. Finding hot spots and little known venues is always a blast for me. That's where the real pulse of a city lies. I feel that music is necessary and integral to our lives. It is our mind, body and soul.
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
I have been interested in mythology and ancient civilizations since I was just a wee lad, and to be able to see the pyramids was a dream come true. Now, I want to visit as many sacred sights as I can in the upcoming years.
Enseigner, apprendre, partager
I very much enjoy dissecting theology and human history. Life, the universe and everything - ya know? It's important to me to understand the past and use that to look towards the future. I'm also fairly handy with computers, and am usually the guy my friends call when theirs is broken.
