Hi! Born & bred in the province of Newfoundland, Canada. Most people guess I’m American at first but I’m a proud Canadian. I’m a university graduate with a bachelors degree in Social Work & I minored in Psychology. I was working as a social worker, a bartender & a children’s cheerleading coach before deciding to take a couple of months off work to travel. Currently on a 4 1/2 month solo adventure, about one month in so far.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I’m travelling solo & think this would be a cool opportunity to meet people that I wouldn’t meet otherwise. I’d consider myself pretty social & chatty so I love meeting new people & having the opportunity to socialize, especially when exploring new places.
Musique, films et livres
I’m pretty open minded when it comes to various genres of the arts. Personally I’m a huge country music fan (don’t judge me) but I enjoy just about any type of music with the exception of metal. Huge Disney fan. I love a good comedy or thriller & I’m great to laugh at while watching a scary movie because I’m either hiding my face or gripping onto my neighbour, consider yourself warned! Not much of a reader, truthfully at home I work 6-7 days a week & never found much time for it.

Ferris wheel survivor. I was on a Ferris wheel as a kid & cried so much that they stopped the ride to let me off before continuing on. Not particularly amazing but how many people do you know that successfully stopped entire carnival rides....

When I tell people I’m from Newfoundland on my travels typically they have no idea where that is (no judgement if you don’t). There’s lots about NL that’s unique, particularly some of the lingo which many people get a laugh out of. Looking to get more of a local experience in each place that I visit & to learn more about the places I’m travelling.

Anyone who knows me would say I’m a pretty relaxed person & I’m easy to get along with. Very open minded to various opinions, & accepting of others. If you’re willing to take a chance on me I promise to be nothing but respectful to both you & your home. I don’t think there’s a huge community of couch surfers where I’m from but I think it’s super cool that there are people out there who open their homes to total strangers. Perks of hosting me would be: I’m neat & tidy, I’m not terrible to interact with, some might even say I’m delightful, Canadians are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet! Cons of hosting me: I’m a terrible cook, you might enjoy my company so much that you’ll be sad to see me leave, I apologize for anything & everything (Canadian probs)
Mes centres d'intérêt
Big sports fan. I used to play rugby & was a competitive cheerleader all throughout university. I settled for coaching children’s cheerleading when I graduated & coach little ones as young as 4. Beer & wine enthusiast. I’ve never met a chicken finger I didn’t like & after a long days work I can usually be found in bed with a bottle of wine & a plate of nachos watching Netflix. If you have a dog I can’t promise that I won’t like their company more than yours.
