I like putting myself in new situations. I’m interested in new people and strange places. And I want to experience the world from different perspectives.
Musique, films et livres
Music: in general I tend toward indie, folk, and alternative. I grew up on rock and soul (Springsteen, Stones, Zeppelin, Aretha Franklin, Al Green, Marvin Gaye among many others). I also love classical music (my favourites: Dvorak, Mendelssohn, and Bach). Books: I read mostly non-fiction about pretty much anything. But I would like to read more fiction. I just finished Brave New World. I'd love more recommendations. Movies: I love horror films.

I’d love to share a meal with you. I have finally mastered my Italian grandmother’s spaghetti recipe! I edit and write in English, so if you have anything you need reviewed, I would be happy to take a look. I can have a conversation about just about anything. So we can share a great discussion!
Mes centres d'intérêt
I may be able to offer my perspectives on things related to philosophy, theory, and politics. I of course adore the Ancients (Plato in particular). I also love thoughts from Marx, Durkheim, Chomsky, Sartre, Camus, and Kierkegaard. I’m very much interested in using theory to better understand ourselves and the world in which we live. I also love photography. I’ve got an old film camera that I’ve been experimenting with. I’m also fascinated by human connections and attachments. I love learning about things like love, shame, grief, and vulnerability, and how these things shape our relationships with others. It can be therapeutic to talk about these things. Things about which I love to learn from others: music, art history, architecture, literature, and poetry.
