HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I first joined CS when I came back to NZ after living overseas, so I could keep meeting travellers and people from around the world. I'm currently planning a trip to Edinburgh, San Francisco and LA (August - Sept 2017) and updating my profile to see if I can find some Couchsurfers to stay with or meet up with in the US! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I went on the epic Tongariro Crossing trip with about 60 other people (only a few weeks after returning to NZ in 2010, it was a great introduction to the CS Community in Auckland). It was great to hang out with everyone and meet so many new people. The crossing itself was awesome - beautiful views - and I'd recommend it to anyone who thinks they can handle it.
