Hi! I’m Ayush from India 🇮🇳, currently living in Japan 🇯🇵 and trying to understand life one cup of coffee and one random conversation at a time. By profession, I’m an English teacher (IELTS/TOEFL/Business English), but honestly, I enjoy learning from people more than teaching them. Every person has a story—and I’m here for those stories. I’ve lived and traveled across places like Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Nepal, and India, and I absolutely love slow travel, local food, and real cultural experiences (not just touristy stuff). I’m also an indie filmmaker 🎬, so I might randomly ask deep questions or observe things like I’m shooting a movie scene—don’t worry, it’s normal 😄 What I enjoy: Deep conversations about life, culture, and weird philosophies Cooking simple meals together (or trying 😅) Exploring local spots that Google doesn’t know about Music, stories, and peaceful walks I’m easygoing, respectful, and clean. I don’t smoke, but I don’t mind if you do. If you host me, I’ll bring good vibes, stories, and maybe cook you something Indian 🍛 If I host you (someday), I’d expect the same. Let’s share stories, not just space ✨

Perché sono su Couchsurfing
I’m not here just to find a place to stay—I’m here to find people, stories, and real experiences. Travel, for me, is not about ticking places off a list. It’s about sitting on a balcony at midnight, talking about life with someone I met a few hours ago… and somehow feeling like we’ve known each other for years. Couchsurfing gives me a chance to experience places the way locals actually live—through food, conversations, small moments, and unexpected adventures. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures, exchanging ideas, and learning how differently (and yet similarly) we all see the world. Also… I’m an indie filmmaker, so every new person I meet feels like a new character, every city like a new story 😄 If we meet, I’m sure we’ll share some good laughs, meaningful conversations, and maybe a story worth remembering.
Musica, film e libri
🎶 My Favorite Music, Movies & Books I’m drawn to things that make me think, feel, and question life a little deeper. 🎧 Music: I enjoy calm, soulful, and instrumental music—something that lets me slow down and just be. Flute, zen sounds, and anything that feels peaceful or slightly spiritual. 🎬 Movies: I love psychological thrillers and meaningful cinema—stories with twists, depth, and hidden layers. Films that stay in your mind long after they end. 📚 Books: Time for Awakening Journey of Souls I’m especially interested in books that explore life, consciousness, purpose, and what lies beyond the obvious.
Una cosa straordinaria che ho fatto
Becoming an Advanced Scuba Diver 🤿 There’s something surreal about being underwater—everything slows down, the noise disappears, and it’s just you and another world. I’ve explored coral reefs, swum alongside incredible marine life, and experienced a kind of peace that’s hard to find on land. It also taught me a lot about staying calm, trusting the moment, and respecting nature. 10/10 would recommend breathing underwater 😄

Cosa posso offrire agli host
Good conversations, positive energy, and stories from different parts of the world 🌍 I can share: 🍛 Simple Indian cooking (or at least try my best 😄) 🎬 Stories from filmmaking and travel 🧑🏫 Help with English practice if you’re interested 🌏 Cultural exchange and perspectives from India, Vietnam, and Japan I’m also a good listener—so whether it’s deep life talks at 2 AM or just chilling with music, I’m always up for it. Most importantly, I respect your space, your time, and your home. I believe Couchsurfing is about connection, not just accommodation—so I’ll bring good vibes and leave as a friend 😊
