CURRENT MISSION I plan to sail around the world - or at least to Hawaii, the Mecca of surfing. ABOUT ME Hello. My name is Robin. I grew up in Africa, but moved to England as a teenager. I am now trying to sail around the world ... PHILOSOPHY A cliche, but I value the small, simple things in life. I like to sprawl on a sofa with a book, and take time to make really, really good coffee. I enjoy getting out and doing things, whether it's meeting friends, climbing trees, or learning how to play poker. I don't like tv. Life is good.

I LOVE the cinema, and used to go A LOT. Now i only have an Ipad. :-( I'll see pretty much anything, as long as it's got decent reviews (I don't like rubbish, no matter what the genre). My music tastes are fairly indie: Smiths, Strokes, Kings of Leon, White Stripes, Rolling Stones, etc, . I also like a lot of 'world' music - Buena Vista SC, Balkan gypsy, Spanish guitar, the oud, etc. I also read a LOT - mostly novels. I enjoy anything from the crisp writing of Hemmingway & Conan Doyle, to the fantastical of Garcia Marquez & de Berniere.

I enjoy a mix of indoor & outdoor interests. I love reading, writing, computer games, board games, card games, the cinema, museums, and the theatre. I also love climbing (esp trees), running, sailing, surfing, camping, and messing around with friends in parks. I am always trying to learn new things: languages, cooking, sewing, new games & sports, maths. I am determined to learn the guitar. Obviously, I love travel. I've been to some strange, dangerous places, and plan to go to a lot more - CS could be incredibly useful for this. I don' think I've emphasised surfing enough. I would live on a beach and surf for the rest of my life if I could.
