I'm currently 5 months into a 12 month traveling adventure around Central and South America. So far I've visited Cuba, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. Next destination is Colombia for a month, hopefully.

I'm looking to get off the tourist trail whenever possible and experience a new place through the eyes of a local. I'm currently trying to learn Spanish and I see couchsurfing as a great way to practice with cool local people.

Traveling on my own for 5 months through Central America, climbing Volcanoes (and boarding down them), SCUBA diving in Honduras and sleeping in the Guatemalan Jungle.
